It's amazing. It's probably my favorite thing to do. I've been an RC every year, and it's just been really fun. Getting to write stuff and then getting up there and performing it and making people laugh is awesome.
Do you see humor playing a part in your future career? What about singing?
I'd love to try it out, maybe do some improv comedy. I don't know. Lately I've been thinking that "Saturday Night Live" might be fun, stuff like that. I like performing a lot. Actually, I'm doing some voice training in New York. It's certainly something I'm going to think about. I really love it. It'd be hard to really give it up.
When did you stop believing in Santa Claus?
I don't know when I finally figured it out. Probably around six or seven.
How did you find out?
My parents always wrapped the presents up the night before. We have this set of old bells in our house, and before I can get out of bed and open my presents, they have to ring them, because they're meant to be sleigh bells, and that means that Santa's leaving. I think I finally put it together that Santa couldn't get away that fast, so it had to be my dad.
If you were invited to that Texas ranch, would you have a word with President Bush or just try to enjoy the sunset and Laura's pie?
I think I would go, maybe try to ride a horse with him.
What would you talk about?
I'd talk about Yale, probably about Skull and Bones, which he wouldn't talk about because he'd probably have to kill me. I'd talk about his daughters, maybe. I'd like to meet them.
What about politics?
I like politics. Yeah, I'd be interested in what he has to say. I'd actually be interested in talking to him to see what he actually sounds like. Maybe he's smarter than he comes across.
You're 21? When do you think you'll get married?
Since my mother reads this, I'll have to say 34. I think she'd like me to wait. I think I'd like to wait. I don't know; it depends on meeting the right person. If I met the right person, I could see myself, maybe, in a couple of years. I'd like to get a career started first though.
After you get settled down, would you consider adopting a child?
If I couldn't have my own child, and even then, well, I think families come in all shapes and sizes, and I think adoption is really important.
Have you thought about what you're going to name your kids, if you have any?
There was this really perverse time in my life when I thought it'd be really cool to have twin boys and name them Jefferson and Jackson, if I ever went into politics. Then they'd be Jeff and Jack. That was the most perverse thing that I ever came up with. I like the name Griffin, and I still really like the name Jack. I don't know what I'd name a girl though. I was supposed to be Ashley, if I had been a girl.
Would you want them to study here [at the College]?
I really like this place, so I think so. I mean if it was right for them. But I wouldn't be the type of dad who says, "You have to go to Amherst." That might be fun, coming to see them back here, but I just want them to be happy. They'd have to be really smart.
