I guess I'd have to go with Target. You might say that's boring, but really now, it's enormous and has everything, so you can just wander around and waste time. Plus, there are aisles and aisles of food. Clearly a winner.
If you were a movie, what movie would you be?
If I were a movie, I'd be "Zoolander." Orange mocha frappachinos, freak gasoline fight accidents, really really ridiculously good-looking people? Yeah, that sounds about right. I was torn between Jack and Charlie, but I'm going with Charlie. He was so screwed up but so adorable!
Facebook lists "Pride and Prejudice" as one of your favorite movies. Which version do you like best and why?
I really like the newer version of "Pride and Prejudice" because I think Keira Knightley pretty faithfully presents Elizabeth as who she was in the book. I like it when people accurately convey characters in adaptations.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a paleontologist. After I saw Jurassic Park, I was hooked which was amazing because the movie totally freaked me out the first time I saw it. The way those velociraptors jumped out all the time was intense!
What is your "go to" question for Never Have I Ever?
I don't have a "go to" question because I rarely play. My friends and I prefer Catchphrase as a substitute.
What is your "crunk" juice of choice?
Oh, wouldn't you like to know.
If you could be any of the Ninja Turtles, Seven Dwarves or Disney princesses, which one would you be and why?
Wow, that's a tough one, but I'm going with Leonardo from the Ninja Turtles. I know he was more serious than the other turtles, but he had a lot going for him in my opinion. He was kind of the leader; he had the big swords, and wore a blue headband (blue is my favorite color).
What is your favorite book? How many times have you read it?
I'm way too indecisive for these "favorites" questions. Probably one of the Harry Potter books, and I've lost count of how many times I've read them because they are so easy to get through quickly.
You are on the Amherst College women's golf team. How has your season been going so far, and do you have any upcoming games?
The golf season is actually over for the fall. It's a pretty quick season but we will be back on in the spring. I didn't have a very good season personally but as a team we did well, beating Williams twice.
You are also part of the SAAC. What do those letters stand for, and what do you do?
SAAC is the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. SAAC is about representing student athletes' interests to the faculty and the Amherst College community as a whole. We also want to promote a good image of student athletes since they make up a huge proportion of our student body. I was on the subcommittee that wrote the constitution last year when we first started, and this year I'm part of the Sportsmanship Committee.
This issue will come out on Halloween. What is your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. A holiday (and the next few days afterwards) devoted to eating insane amounts of food?
Do you eat turkey at Thanksgiving?
Turkey at Thanksging? Nope, we eat ostrich in my family…who doesn't? And definitely the white meat…have you tried ostrich thigh? Not so good.
What do you miss most about home?
I miss a lot of things, my family, friends, pets, my super comfortable mattress, and (not shockingly) the home-cooked meals and Tex-Mex.
