In his comic strip, "Foxtrot," Bill Amend '84 mentions the animated web series "Hard Drinkin' Lincoln," found on Icebox.com. This reference is significant for two reasons. One, I read "Foxtrot," and two, it is virtually your duty as an Amherst student to check out this site.
Icebox.com contains some cutting-edge, often irreverent and always obscure comedy. "Hard Drinkin' Lincoln" depicts our 16th president as "a loud, lewd, obnoxious guy in a big hat." Also found on Icebox.com is "Senior House," a series about a dysfunctional old folks' home, brought to you by "Simpsons" writers Tom Gammill and Max Pross. In the latest episode, the residents take a trip to Mexico. There's a singing montage which features old people falling off Aztec ruins and using false teeth as maracas.
Some other impressive credentials come from the writer of "Weekend Pussy Hunt," John Kricfalusi, the creator of "The Ren and Stimpy Show," who advertises his online series as a "gripping psychodrama pitting cat against dog."
Some episodes fall short, but if you dislike a show, you can always send in your comments. As one viewer wrote, "Dude, that's just sick."
