Girls, Inc.

Girls, Inc. provides homework help, art activities and social interaction for girls ages six to 10 in their quest to uphold their motto: "Strong, smart and bold."

Habitat for Humanity

Students can volunteer to build low-income housing in the community, often alongside those who will live in the homes.

Amherst Survival Center

The Center distributes clothing, household wares and food free of charge. Students can also work in a soup kitchen, which is open for lunch four days a week. Long-term volunteers are needed.

Enlace runs a day care for infants, toddlers and pre-school children. Volunteers have the opportunity to read and play with the children.

Food Bank of Western Massachusetts

The Food Bank distributes products to organizations that help the needy and also runs educational programs about hunger. Students can help organize the distribution as well as participate in the programs.
