Website of the Week

As Wyclef said, "Anything can happen." Or, more precisely, with almost 32,000 Internet radio stations on file at Life365.com, almost anything can happen. Live365.com is a godsend for Amherst students who have somehow managed to spend four years unable to find any reliable radio station that offers more selection than the Britney-Ricky-Christina rotation. This website does more than offer a variety of real radio stations from around the world. Live365 also offers a unique service called "independent" broadcasting, where any random user (example: me) can upload mp3s and create their own playlist to be broadcast to other users, leading to a vast selection of music. A search feature (by genre, song, or artist) and the ability to program presets adds to the site's convenience. It is surprisingly easy to use, even for the insufferably computer-incompetent, like myself. Best of all, this service is free. Live365 is, literally, music to my ears.
