Website of the Week--http://www.phonespell.org
Haven't you ever wished that you could give out your number as a word? Ever wanted to tell people to just call you at (413) T-H-E-K-I-N-G? Well, you probably won't be all that surprised to hear that, at www.phonespell.org, you can do just that. You can type in your own phone number and see all the seven- or eight-letter words that can be formed with it. I found that my phone number last year spelled "jibe duck" and "lice dual." You can also type in the first three digits of a number and see all the words that can be formed starting with them. By typing 542, one can find that there are Amherst College numbers that spell such words as "kickass," "kickback," "libelous," "liberty" and the very fitting "liberals." And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, you can reverse the process, and find the number that fits with a word you want. This is particularly relevant for the imminently departing senior. (FYI, if any of you can arrange for your new, post-college number to be 794-6437, it spells SWINGER.)
