Website of the Week
By Nick Pedersen, Staff Writer
Try a search for "bizarre religions" and get ready to embrace one of the best around-The Center for Duck Studies. Granted, this website doesn't have an iota of practicality in it, but you can learn a good deal about ducks. Here, recordings of that "Holy Sound"-the quack-abound. And let me tell you, nothing appeals more to the linguist in all of us than to listen to recordings of the sacred quack in Chinese, Dutch, English, French, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

There is also a fair amount of bizarre religious stuff, including confessionals and the theological teachings of Duckism. But perhaps the most fascinating part of the site is its links. From the Center for Duck Studies, you can reach websites such as the Official Duckism Homepage, interactive duck pages (or interquactive, as these people say), educational duck sites and games.

All of this is further proof that if you seek a diversion of any nature, no matter how specific or bizarre, it can be found on the World Wide Web.
