Student attacks TAP security monitor
By MIKE REED, News Editor
Brian Daoust '01 reportedly attacked student security monitor Jason Edwards '03 at last Saturday's TAP in Crossett Dormitory.

According to a student security monitor, who asked to remain anonymous, Daoust refused to remove his drink from the floor when asked repeatedly by a security monitor.

Seven monitors were present at TAP that night and three or four were involved in an altercation with Daoust, according to the monitor.

"Student security was able to handle the situation," said Campus Police Officer Ali Wicks. "The matter has been referred to the deans."

No criminal charges have been brought by any of the parties involved, according to Wicks.

"I've put the event behind me," said Edwards. "I'm a party monitor and it's my job."

Daoust refused to comment.
