10:18 p.m., Stearns Hall

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Stearns to assist a student who had fallen.

December 3, 2000

12:33 a.m., Crossett Dormitory

A fire alarm activated at Crossett when someone pulled an alarm station for no apparent reason. Officers fined residents $100. Officers also fined residents of one suite $100 for covering a smoke detector and one student was fined $100 for failing to evacuate the building.

1:02 a.m., Davis Dormitory

A fire alarm activated at Davis due to excessive cigarette smoke. Officers also discovered an unlicensed keg. Officers fined one student $100.

1:05 a.m., Appleton Hall

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Appleton to assist an intoxicated student.

1:19 a.m., Pond Dormitory

A resident of Pond reported that it appeared as though someone tampered with the door to his room.

1:44 a.m., Pond

A resident of Pond complained about loud music in the building.

1:59 a.m., Pond

Officers received a second complaint of loud music in Pond.

3:35 p.m., Crossett

A fire alarm activated at Crossett when something was burned in a student's room. Officers fined the resident $100 for the alarm and $100 for tampering with the room's smoke detector.

10:15 p.m., Main Quad

Officers received a report of several nude people in the main quad.

11:53 p.m., Crossett

A resident of Crossett complained about loud music in the building.

December 4, 2000

12:40 a.m., Pond

A student reported the theft of a navy blue Brooks Brothers coat from a second floor suite in Pond.

1:12 p.m., James Hall

A resident of James reported the theft of a backpack and calculator from a fourth floor room. The student called back to report that the items had been found.

5:55 p.m., Stearns

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Stearns.

December 5, 2000

3:56 p.m., Appleton

Campus police dispatched officers and an ambulance to Appleton for a medical emergency.

4:47 p.m., Jenkins Dormitory

A fire alarm activated at Jenkins by a third floor smoke detector for an unknown reason.

5:59 p.m., Stearns

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Stearns.

6:55 p.m., Converse Parking Lot

Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident near the Converse lot.

11:41 p.m., Jenkins

A fire alarm activated at Jenkins when popcorn was burned. Officers fined residents $100.

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Stearns.

1:00 p.m., Marsh House

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Marsh.

3:39 p.m., Morrow Dormitory

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Morrow.

8:50p.m., Moore Dormitory

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Moore.

December 7, 2000

1:27 a.m., Hills Parking Lot

Campus police officers met with Town officers in the Hills parking lot where they were detaining several Amherst students who were suspected to have stolen property in their possession.

10:58 a.m., Jenkins

A fire alarm activated at Jenkins due to a malfunctioning smoke detector.

6:32 p.m., Drew House

Campus police received a report from a UMass student about an assault that occurred in Drew on Dec. 1.

December 8, 2000

12:09 a.m., Appleton

Officers dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to Appleton to assist an intoxicated student.

12:32 a.m., Appleton

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Appleton to assist an intoxicated student.

9:35 p.m., Hamilton House

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Hamilton to assist an ill student.

10:19 p.m., Valentine Hall

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Valentine Hall.

December 9, 2000

12:24 a.m., Marsh

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Marsh to assist an injured student.

2:08 a.m., Jenkins

An officer investigated a 911 "hang-up" call which originated from a room in Jenkins.

2:24 a.m., Jenkins

An officer at Jenkins found an unlicensed keg in a stairway. Officers fined residents $100.

3:06 a.m., Crossett

A resident of Crossett complained about loud music and people in a second floor suite.

4:16 a.m., Pratt Dormitory

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Pratt to assist an injured student.

11:33 a.m., James

Officers investigated a duress alarm at James.

3:23 p.m., Crossett

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Crossett to assist an injured student.

8:28 p.m., Steam Tunnels

Officers detained five students for unauthorized entry into the steam tunnel between James and Milliken Dormitory. Officers fined each of them $50 and referred the matter to the Dean's office.

December 10, 2000

1:43 a.m., Morrow

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Morrow at a student's request.

2:40 a.m., James

A resident of James complained about loud music and people on the first floor.

2:50 a.m., Humphries House

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Humphries to assist an intoxicated student.

2:55 a.m., Seelye House

A resident of Seelye complained about people remaining in the house after TAP.
