Campus Police dispatched an officer and ambulance to the trainer's room to assist an injured student.

9:36 a.m, South College

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to South to assist an injured student.

1:17 p.m., Stearns Hall

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to Stearns to assist an ill student.

October 19, 2001

10:29 p.m, Alumni Gym

A smoke detector activated a fire alarm at the Alumni Gym for an unknown reason.

October 20, 2001

12:25 a.m, Hitchcock House

Officers responded to a loud music complaint at Hitchcock.

12:41 a.m., Milliken Dormitory

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to Milliken to assist an intoxicated person.

1:47 a.m., Hitchcock

A fire alarm activated at Hitchcock when someone pulled an alarm station for no apparent reason. Residents were fined $100.

2:47 a.m., Stearns

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an injured student.

6:26 a.m.

Officers investigated a report of a door open at a College-owned house.

7:01 a.m., Milliken

Officers responded to a noise complaint at Milliken.

9:10 a.m., Taplin Dormitory

Steam from a shower activated a fire alarm at Taplin.

10:32 a.m., Jenkins Dormitory

Steam from a shower activated a fire alarm at Jenkins.

3:00 p.m., Valentine Hall

A student reported the theft of an unlocked bicycle from the front of Valentine.

9:14 p.m., Social Dorm Quad

An officer found an unlicensed keg on the lawn in the Social Dorm Quad.

10:35 p.m., Appleton Hall

A smoke detector activated a fire alarm at Appleton for an unknown reason.

October 21, 2001

12:05 a.m., North College

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to North to assist an intoxicated student.

12:24 a.m.

Officers checked an individual sleeping in the wooded area near the tennis courts.

12:30 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Officers responded to a loud party complaint.

1:12 a.m., Morrow Dormitory

Officers and the Amherst Fire Department responded to a report of a Halloween decoration set on fire in the front of the building.

1:26 a.m., Valentine

Officers investigated a duress alarm.

3:07 a.m., Pond Dormitory

Officers responded to a loud music complaint.

3:28 a.m.

Amherst Police followed a vehicle onto campus and arrested a student for operating a vehicle under the influence.

6:30 p.m.

An officer assisted a local youth who was on campus because he was involved in a family dispute and didn't want to go home.

October 22, 2001

12:39 a.m., Plimpton House

Officers responded to a loud music complaint.

4:11 a.m., Plimpton

An officer checked a report of someone or something making noise outside the building. The officer found nothing unusual.

12:19 p.m., Humphries House

An officer investigated a duress alarm.

October 23, 2001

12:28 a.m., Stearns

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the third floor.

3:46 a.m., Davis Dormitory

A fire alarm activated when a water pipe burst in the basement for an unknown reason.

8:42 a.m., Alumni Gym

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

9:44 p.m.

A student reported that she became ill on Oct. 20 and suspects that someone put an unidentified substance in her drink.

11:56 p.m., North College

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the third floor.

October 24, 2001

1:58 a.m., Davis

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist someone experiencing difficulty breathing.

2:13 a.m.

A parent reported his son apparently left the College and does not plan to return. His whereabouts at this time are unknown.

3:39 a.m., Appleton

Smith College security reported that a despondent Smith student was apparently with an Amherst student in the dorm. The officers assisted her to the Campus Police office.

12:49 p.m., Crossett Dormitory

Campus police found an unlicensed keg in the basement.

4:25 p.m., Jenkins

Steam from a shower activated a fire alarm.

10:58 p.m., Hitchcock

A smoke detector activated a fire alarm for an unidentified reason.

11:10 p.m., Mayo-Smith

An officer found an unlicensed keg in the common room.

11:54 p.m., Valentine

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the second floor.

3:06 p.m., Webster Hall

Officer responded to a report of two students entering a mechanical room.

5:42 p.m., Alumni Gym

A smoke detector activated a fire alarm for an unknown reason.

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to the front of the building to assist an ill student.

An officer responded to assist an intoxicated student.

A town resident complained about loud music coming from the building.
