7:45 a.m., Athletic Complex

An officer responded to a report of the odor of smoke in the area of the athletic complex. Investigation found that smoke was coming from a fire in Hadley.

8:38 a.m., North College

A resident of North reported an unfamiliar man loitering outside the building. The man was gone when officers checked.

10:30 a.m., Stone Dormitory

An officer investigated "satanic" writing on a wall at Stone.

10:55 a.m., Grosvenor House

An employee at Grosvenor reported mail recently delivered was wet with an unknown liquid. Investigation found that a small bottle of champagne had leaked through an envelope.

2:58 p.m., Fayerweather Hall

Officers investigated a report of a nude man near Fayerweather. The man fled into the social dorm area as officers approached.

5:46 p.m., Alumni Gym

A fire alarm activated at the Alumni Gym for an undetermined reason.

October 27, 2001

12:13 a.m., Keefe Campus Center

ACEMS and officers responded to the Campus Center to assist an intoxicated student.

2:29 a.m., Crossett Dormitory

An officer investigated a duress alarm at Crossett.

3:34 a.m., Stearns Hall

Officers responded to reports of an unspecified disturbance on the third floor of Stearns.

10:08 a.m., Humphries House

A fire alarm activated at Humphries when food was burned in the kitchen. Residents were fined $100.

9:18 p.m., Pond Dormitory

A second-floor smoke detector activated a fire alarm in Pond for an unknown reason.

12:59 a.m., North

ACEMS and an officer responded to North to assist with an intoxicated student.

1:00 a.m., Stearns

Officers responded to Stearns to assist an intoxicated student.

8:16 a.m., Plimpton House

Officers found a vandalized vending machine at Plimpton.

1:50 p.m., Johnson Chapel

An employee reported graffiti on an office door at Johnson Chapel.

2:30 p.m., Morrow Dormitory

A resident of Morrow complained about a band playing in front of Valentine.

3:14 p.m., Cohan Dormitory

ACEMS responded to a call from Cohan to assist a student who lacerated his finger.

5:45 p.m., Johnson Chapel

Officers received a noise complaint about a student group practicing in Johnson Chapel.

1:22 a.m., Jenkins Dormitory

Officers responded to a noise complaint from a third-floor suite.

1:46 a.m., Stone

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Stone.

9:49 a.m., Johnson Chapel

An employee reported receiving an unidentified piece of mail. Campus Police examined the letter and found nothing suspicious.

4:51 p.m., Chapman House

A fire alarm activated at Chapman by cooking smoke.

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the first floor of Stearns.

12:06 p.m., Converse Hall

Officers investigated a report of a man with a large saw leaving Converse.

3:35 a.m., Merrill Science Center

A student reported being accosted by an unidentified man near Merrill.

10:06 p.m., Campus Center

ACEMS assisted an ill student in the Campus Center.

11:12 p.m., Porter House

An officer responded to a noise complaint at Porter.

1:15 a.m., Stone

ACEMS assisted an injured student at Stone.

1:20 a.m., James Hall

A resident of James complained about a group of students playing football loudly outside of the building.

9:35 a.m., Jenkins

An officer investigated a motor vehicle accident near Jenkins.

November 4, 2001

1:02 a.m., Pond

A fire alarm activated at Pond when a fire extinguisher was discharged in the basement. Residents were fined $200. While checking the building officers located an unlicensed keg in a first floor suite and fined residents $100.

1:07 a.m., Stone

A fire alarm activated at Stone when someone pulled an alarm station for no reason. Residents were fined $100.

2:07 a.m., Pond

Officers responded to a noise complaint for a first-floor room at Pond.
