5:52 a.m., Plimpton House

A resident of Plimpton complained about loud music on the second floor. Additional complaints were received at 7:20 a.m. and 8:09 a.m.. On the final call, two unlicensed kegs were discovered. The resident was fined $200.

10:53 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Officers found a vandalized telephone on the second floor of

Mayo Smith.

11:50 a.m., Garman House

A resident of Garman reported the theft of a mountain bicycle, valued at $350, from the bicycle rack at Garman.

5:02 p.m., Plimpton

Steam from a second floor shower activated a Plimpton fire alarm.

6:14 p.m., Stearns Hall

A resident of Stearns complained about loud music on the second floor.

7:55 p.m., Garman

A resident of Garman reported the theft of a mountain bicycle, valued at $75, from the bicycle rack at Garman.

12:51 a.m., Campus Center

Officers dispatched ACEMS to the Campus Center to assist an intoxicated student.

1:51 a.m., Stearns

Officers dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

1:54 a.m., Hitchcock House

Officers recived a report of a window broken by people throwing snowballs at the building.

2:16 a.m., Freshman quad

An officer on the quad stopped a student who was carrying a table.

2:20 a.m., Davis Dormitory

Officers responded to a noise complaint at Davis.

3:31 a.m., James Hall

Officers investigating a report of a disturbance at James confiscated some alcohol and a pipe used to smoke marijuana from a third-floor room.

5:56 a.m.

Officers towed two vehicles from the main campus that were in violation of the winter parking ban.

12:43 p.m., Little Red School House

Officers found a broken window at the Little Red School House.

3:00 p.m., Porter House

A resident of Porter reported the theft of a radar detector, debit card and jacket from his motor vehicle, which was parked in the house lot.

9:54 p.m., Pond Dormitory

A resident of Pond complained about a loud video game in a first floor room.

December 10, 2001

4:51 a.m., Pond

Burning toast in a second-floor room activated a fire alarm at Pond. Students received a fine of $25 each.

December 11, 2001

11:56 a.m., Plimpton

An officer responded to a noise complaint on the third floor of Plimpton.

4:30 a.m., Barrett Hall

Officers towed a vehicle near Barrett that was in violation of the winter parking ban.

8:15 a.m., Valentine Hall

Officers found a vending machine at Valentine vandalized.

11:13 a.m., Wilson House

An officer investigated a report of a male acting suspiciously at Wilson House.

9:50 a.m., Converse Hall

An officer on patrol found a motor vehicle parked in the Converse lot that had been reported stolen from Springfield.

10:00 a.m., Alumni Gym

A student reported the theft of a watch, valued at $900, from the Alumni Gym after it was placed on the floor while the student played basketball.

5:19 p.m., Morrow Dormitory

A resident of Morrow reported a Compaq Presario laptop computer valued at $1,100, stolen from her unlocked room.

3:10 a.m., Crossett Dormitory

An officer investigated a duress alarm at Crossett.

3:18 a.m., Appleton Hall

Officers responded to a report of loud people on the first floor of Appleton.

4:13 a.m., Stearns

Officers responded to Stearns to investigate a report of someone yelling in the fourth-floor hall.

December 14, 2001

4:40 a.m.

The Amherst Police responded to notification by Campus Police of a report received of a male and female arguing on the corner of S. Pleasant St. and Northampton Rd.

4:52 a.m., James

Officers responded to the front of James to investigate a report of a possible fight.

5:15 a.m., Garman

Officers responded to Garman to investigate a domestic problem.

1:41 p.m., Crossett

Carpet cleaners activated a fire alarm.

December 15, 2001

2:53 a.m., Hamilton House

A report was received of an unfamiliar man wandering around Hamilton and Cohan.

12:08 p.m., North College

Officers assisted a student who fell from his bicycle in front of North.

2:04 p.m., Stearns

A substance that appeared to be marijuana smoke activated a fourth-floor fire alarm at Stearns. Officers fined residents $100 and fined one student $100 for failing to evacuate the building.

4:04 p.m., Converse

Officers responded to a report of a man passed out in the basement restroom at Converse.

7:50 p.m., Mayo-Smith

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Mayo-Smith.

9:45 p.m., North

Menorahs burning on the third floor activated a fire alarm at North.

11:45 p.m., Davis

Officers responded to a noise complaint in the basement of Davis.

December 16, 2001

12:43 a.m., North

Officers checked on the well-being of a student at North at the request of a friend.

1:26 a.m., Stone Dormitory

Officers responded to a noise complaint from a third-floor suite in Stone.

2:36 a.m., Seelye House

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the third floor of Seelye.

6:08 p.m.

Officers received information from UMass Police about a missing juvenile.

December 17, 2001

12:39 a.m., Mayo-Smith

Officers responded to a noise complaint at Mayo-Smith. A second complaint was received at 1:18 a.m.,and officers confiscated an unlicensed keg from the common room. Residents were charged $100.

8:15 a.m., Alumni Gym

A visitor to the campus reported that a side window on his vehicle was smashed while parked near the Alumni Gym two days ago.

8:34 a.m., Frost Library

An employee reported the theft of a cigarette urn, valued at $350, from the front of Frost Library.
