Officers responded to a noise complaint at Mayo-Smith.

1:22 a.m., Hitchcock House

An officer checking on loud music on the first floor of Hitchcock discovered an unlicensed keg. One student was fined $100.

4:06 p.m., Life Sciences Building

A fire alarm activated at Life Sciences when someone pulled an alarm station for no apparent reason.

9:57 p.m., Valentine Hall

An officer discovered an underage student with two bottles of alcohol.

February 15, 2002

12:23 a.m., Stone Dormitory

Officers and an ambulance responded to a suite when two students cut themselves by smashing a window.

2:05 a.m., Davis Dormitory

A noise complaint was received for a party at Davis. Party monitors were advised to have the volume of the music lowered.

6:44 a.m., The Octagon

An employee reported people on the roof of the Octagon. Responding officers located five students there. They were fined $100 each.

10:30 p.m., Moore Dormitory

A fire alarm activated at Moore when someone started a fire in the fireplace without opening the flue. The residents were fined $100.

4:52 a.m., Chapman House

A fire in a second floor room activated a fire alarm.

4:22 p.m., Garman House

An officer responding to a lock-out call at Garman confiscated a bottle of alcohol from an underage student.

February 17, 2002

12:51 a.m., Pond Dormitory

Cigarette smoke in a second floor suite activated a fire alarm in Pond. Residents were fined $25 each.

1:02 a.m., Drew House

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

2:04 a.m., Pond

Officers investigated a duress alarm.

Marijuana smoke activated a fire alarm in a second floor suite. The residents were fined $100.

12:32 a.m., James Hall

Officers dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

1:46 a.m., Crossett

Officers investigated a duress alarm at Crossett.

9:56 p.m., Moore

A resident of Moore complained about loud people on the third floor.

February 24, 2002

12:29 a.m., James

An officer confiscated a bottle of alcohol from an underage student walking near James.

1:15 a.m., Valentine Hall

Officers dispatched ACEMS to Valentine to assist an intoxicated student.

1:55 a.m., North College

A resident of North complained about loud noise coming from a third floor room.

2:10 a.m., Mayo-Smith

An officer on patrol observed two candles burning in a window in a second-floor room at Mayo-Smith. Candles were burning directly under the shade. No one was found in the room and the candles were confiscated. The resident was fined $100 for creating an endangering situation.

4:20 a.m., Arms Music Center

Officers checked a report of an intoxicated man attempting to get into the building. Campus Police escorted the man to UMass, where he is a student.

5:46 p.m., South

Officers dispatched ACEMS to South to assist an ill student.

February 25, 2002

1:05 a.m., Drew

A resident of Drew reported the sound of glass breaking outside.

1:43 p.m., Stone Dormitory

Officers received several complaints about a loud party in a first floor suite.

3:21 a.m., Stearns

Several residents complained about loud people on the third floor.

An employee reported the theft of a scale from the Post Office lobby.

1:37 p.m., Marsh House

Officers investigated a duress alarm.
