An employee reported two men running naked in the rain on the main quad. The men could not be located when officers checked.

Officers investigated a report of an unknown man showering in the first-floor restroom at South. The man was identified as a non-student who was visiting an Amherst student who lived in Coolidge Dormitory.

Campus Police received a report of a woman screaming near Marsh House. Officers found this to be students engaged in horseplay.

A resident of Garman complained about loud music. The responding officer determined that the music was coming from the Lord Jeffery Inn.

Officers ticketing vehicles on Webster Circle observed two weapons inside a vehicle. The owner, an employee, was contacted, and the weapons were removed from campus.

Officers investigated a duress alarm in South. Rayburn Lee, 51 Shumway Street, Amherst, Mass. was arrested for domestic assault and battery. He was also removed from campus.

A town resident reported the theft of shrubs from their front lawn to Campus Police.

Officers found anti-war graffiti painted on and around the Campus Center. Similar writings were also found near Valentine Hall, Merrill Science Center and on a College-owned vehicle.

An officer patrolling near Stearns observed several students run from a bench near the building. Upon further investigation, the officer found a "bong" near the bench that appeared to contain marijuana residue.

A pizza delivery person from Bruno's reported the theft of a pizza bag and two pizzas from his car which was parked near Valentine Hall.

An officer responded to a report of a sick squirrel behind Porter.

4:19 a.m., Railroad Tracks
An officer noticed someone operating a vehicle on the railroad tracks near the Hills parking lot. Campus Police notified the railroad and the Amherst Police. The man was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol.

2:00 a.m., Social Dorm Quad
Officers responded to a complaint of someone setting off fireworks in the social dorm quad. Officers found one student engaged in the activity. Campus Police fined him $100 for creating an endangering situation. Campus Police received a second complaint at 3:23 a.m. Officers located someone discharging fireworks from a third-floor suite. Campus Police fined residents $100 for discharging the fireworks and $200 for having two unlicensed kegs.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated man sleeping in a stairway. They identified him as a visiting debate team member.
