3:51 p.m., Jenkins Dormitory: Steam from a shower in a first-floor suite activated a fire alarm.

8:02 p.m., Davis Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of an unfamiliar man acting in an unusual manner in a stairway. The man was gone when officers checked the building.

October 9, 2002

11:28 p.m., Alumni Lot: An officer responded to a complaint of people playing football and asked students to leave the area.

11:29 p.m., Hitchcock House: A resident reported the theft of a wallet from his room.

October 10, 2002

12:30 a.m., The Waldorf-Astoria: An officer responded to a trouble signal for the fire system and found that a student had attempted to remove the room smoke detector. The officer fined the student $100.

1:14 a.m., Frost Library: An officer responded to a report of several people carrying a bicycle rack with bicycles. The people fled upon the officer's arrival and left the rack behind.

2:28 a.m., Davis: Popcorn burning in a microwave activated a fire alarm. Campus police fined the residents $25 each.

5:40 p.m., Stone Dormitory: Campus police reported a 911 call from a third-floor suite with no one on the line. An officer checked the room and discovered no problem.

7:26 p.m.: Campus police received information from the Amherst town police about a young boy who was missing in the area.

10:21 p.m., Mayo-Smith House: An officer discovered an unlicensed keg in the common room.

October 11, 2002

2:16 a.m., The Waldorf-Astoria: Officers responded to a loud noise complaint and confiscated some drug paraphernalia, weapons and alcohol from a student's room. Campus police filed a complaint with the dean's office.

2:35 a.m., Stearns Hall: An officer responded to the third floor for a report of a student being unruly and disruptive in the hall.

3:24 p.m., Appleton Hall: An officer responded to a verbal altercation between two students.

8:30 a.m., Milliken Dormitory: A contractor reported that there was unauthorized entry into the construction site overnight.

2:32 p.m., Valentine Hall: Steam from a shower on the second floor activated a fire alarm.

October 12, 2002

4:31 p.m., Social Quad: Campus police called in the environmental police to pick up an injured hawk.

October 13, 2002

12:45 a.m., Stearns: An officer responded to a loud party complaint on the third floor and discovered an unlicensed keg. The officer fined one student $100 for the unlicensed keg and $100 for having a keg in a first-year residence hall.

3:28 a.m., Tyler House: An officer responded to a request to check on the well-being of a resident.

12:24 a.m., Stearns: An officer fined a student $100 for removing a fire extinguisher.

October 15, 2002

1:30 p.m., Garman House: An officer investigated a report of a window being shot with a BB gun.

2:36 p.m., Orr Lot:: A student reported the theft of a radio face plate from his parked vehicle.

3:24 p.m., Alumni Gym: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

11:31 p.m., Stone: An officer investigated reports of a booted parked vehicle.

October 16, 2002

1:14 a.m., Stearns: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

1:29 a.m., Crossett Dormitory: An officer responded to a loud party complaint and found a keg, which was confiscated. The officer fined one student $100.

12:10 p.m., Appleton: A resident reported a stolen bicycle valued at $300 from the bike rack.

9:20 p.m., Fayerweather Lot: An officer investigated a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot.

10:58 p.m., Hamilton House: Officers investigated an unauthorized party and discovered an illegally parked vehicle and an unlicensed keg. The officers fined residents $100.

October 17, 2002:

11:07 a.m., Cage: Officers investigated a fire alarm that workmen activated.

11:59 p.m., Valentine: An officer confiscated alcohol from a second-floor room.

October 18, 2002

12:13 a.m., Stone: An officer discovered lit candles in a first-floor room and fined the resident $100.

12:56 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer responded to a noise complaint on the third floor, dispersing a group of students and confiscating some alcohol.

1:56 a.m., Morrow Dormitory: A fire alarm activated when someone pulled an alarm station on the first floor for no apparent reason.

4:40 a.m., Valentine: An employee reported glass smashed in a lobby door.

10:53 a.m., Webster Circle: A student reported a wheel cover stolen from her parked vehicle.

2:08 p.m., James Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

October 19, 2002

12:30 a.m., Moore Dormitory: An officer responded to a report of a student suffering a possible medical problem on the fourth floor.

1:00 a.m., Stearns: An officer confiscated alcohol from two rooms.

1:12 a.m., Moore: Campus police dispatched an officer and an ambulance to the fourth floor for a medical emergency.

1:38 a.m., The Plaza: Officers responded to a report of two intoxicated men entering a parked vehicle. The officers confiscated some alcohol, marijuana and two knives from two students. Campus police filed a complaint with the dean's office.

6:14 p.m., Drew House: Smoke from the kitchen activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100.

October 20, 2002

12:07 a.m., Porter House: An officer and ACEMS responded to assist two intoxicated students. An ambulance took one student to the hospital.

12:16 a.m.: A Safe Ride driver reported an intoxicated student vomiting inside the vehicle. Campus police dispatched ACEMS.

12:53 a.m., Morrow: An officer responded to the second floor to evaluate a student in emotional distress.

1:44 a.m., Valentine: An officer responded to a loud music complaint on the second floor.

2:04 a.m., Stone: An officer closed down an unauthorized party in the basement.

5:25 a.m., Appleton: An officer responded to a report of a man damaging message boards. The officer could not locate the man.

10:13 a.m., Appleton: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

10:35a.m., Merrill Science Library: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

11:16 p.m., Stearns: An officer closed down a small unauthorized party in the basement and confiscated some alcohol.

12:57 a.m., Hamilton: Campus police shut down a party after receiving three complaints within an hour.

12:07 p.m., Coolidge Dormitory: An officer discovered an unlicensed keg in the basement and fined one student $100.

11:33 p.m., Stearns: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

October 22, 2002

11:50 a.m., Davis: A student reported a purse containing cash and keys stolen from the common room in a first-floor suite.
