November 14, 2002

9:14 p.m., Appleton Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

11:00 p.m.: Officers responded to a request from party monitors to assist in clearing out the common room.

November 15, 2002

12:53 a.m., Stone Dormitory: A resident reported what appeared to be a fight about to begin on the social dorm quad. Officers found nothing when they checked the quad.

2:22 a.m., Stearns Hall: Officers responded to a disturbance on the third floor.

2:31 a.m., Stearns: An officer responded to a complaint about noise coming from the second floor. The officer confiscated some alcohol.

4:06 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer responded to a report of a fight near the dorm. The officer found the involved individuals to be members of the medieval sword fighting club.

November 16, 2002

12:18 a.m., Moore Dormitory: Officers responded to a noise complaint and confiscated an unlicensed keg. Officers fined one student $100.

2:35 a.m., Coolidge Dormitory: An officer responded to a complaint of loud people in the basement.

3:01 a.m., Davis Dormitory: Officers locking a door in a first-floor suite discovered a pipe which appeared to have been used to smoke marijuana. The officers confiscated it and filed a report with the deans' office.

11:09 a.m., Stearns: An officer responded to a car alarm sounding in a vehicle near the dorm.

November 17, 2002

1:04 a.m., Taplin Dormitory: Campus police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

1:20 a.m., Hamilton House: Campus police received a report of loud music and notified the lead party monitor.

1:23 a.m., South College: Campus police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

3:47 a.m., Hamilton: Officers responded to a complaint of loud music on the second floor.

4:33 a.m.: Officers responded to a complaint of snow being thrown at a building. Officers discovered that the snow had fallen from the roof.

2:49 p.m., North College: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

10:19 p.m., James Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

November 18, 2002

10:58 a.m., Stearns: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

12:59 p.m., Cohan Dormitory: A dirty smoke detector activated a fire alarm.

1:58 p.m., Moore: A student reported the theft of a Verizon cell phone from the common room. It is valued at $150.00.

November 19, 2002

2:19 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: An officer on patrol stopped a student who was taking a table. The officer referred the matter to the dean's office.

4:27 a.m., Coolidge: An officer responded to a noise complaint regarding a second-floor suite.

November 20, 2002

11:50 p.m., James: Popcorn burning on the fourth floor activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100.

November 21, 2002

12:45 a.m., Crossett Dormitory: Officers responded to a noise complaint regarding a second-floor suite. Officers confiscated two unlicensed kegs.

4:08 a.m., Moore: An officer responded to a noise complaint regarding the third floor. Officers confiscated an unlicensed keg.

3:00 p.m., Moore: Campus Police dispatched an officer checked on the well being of a student at the request of a family member.

November 22, 2002

12:38 p.m., Hitchcock House:Campus Police dispatched an officer to check on a student that had a medical issue.

2:13 a.m., Pond Dormitory: An officer responded to a noise complaint on the first floor.

4:23 a.m., Valentine Hall: An officer responded to a 911 hang up call from a pay phone at Valentine. An Amherst student was found with an intoxicated UMass student who needed assistance.

9:04 a.m., Stone: Campus police towed a vehicle that was blocking a service entrance.

9:19 a.m.: An employee reported information regarding a restraining order.

10:11 a.m., Hills Lot: An officer investigated a motor vehicle accident.

November 23, 2002

3:45 a.m., Mayo-Smith House:Officers removed two unwanted people.

12:36 p.m., North: A dirty smoke detector activated a fire alarm.
