5:01 a.m., Hamilton House: A resident left a stove on in the basement, causing grease to heat up and smoke. The smoke activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $200.

3:20 p.m., Seeley Mudd Building:Construction work activated a fire alarm.

6:05 a.m., Davis Dormitory: An officer checked on the well-being of a student at the request of her sister.

March 6, 2003

12:51 a.m., Social Quad: Officers responded to a complaint about a group of students being loud in the social dorm quad.

2:06 a.m., Coolidge Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

12:54 p.m., Davis: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

March 7, 2003

2:15 a.m., Main Campus: Campus Police towed eight cars from the main campus for being parked in violation of the winter parking ban.

3:40 a.m., Stearns Dormitory: Officers responded to a noise complaint regarding the fourth floor.

8:13 a.m., Coolidge: Officers found two unlicensed kegs in the basement common room. Officers fined residents $100 for one keg and fined a student $100 for the second keg.

3:24 p.m., Crossett Dormitory: A resident reported a stolen book bag.

9:34 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer responded to a noise complaint regarding the third floor.

11:31 p.m., Moore Dormitory: Officers closed down an unauthorized party on the fourth floor.

11:56 p.m., Stearns: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

March 8, 2003

12:15 a.m., South College: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

1:22 a.m., Stearns: Officers responded to a noise complaint on the first floor. Officers responded a second time when they received another complaint at 1:36 a.m.

1:46 a.m., Hamilton: Officers responded to a complaint of loud music on the second floor. While in the house officers found an unlicensed keg in the common room. Officers fined residents $100.

3:37 p.m., Seelye House: A leaking sprinkler control valve activated a fire alarm.

9:01 p.m., Crossett: Officers were called to meet an Amherst police officer. The officer had stopped a student with an unlicensed keg. Police confiscated the keg and issued the student a $200 citation.

March 9, 2003

1:42 a.m., Davis: Officers investigated a 911 hang-up call from a first-floor suite.

2:22 a.m., Crossett: An officer responded to a report of a female screaming. The officer checked the area but did not find anything unusual.

3:12 a.m., Porter House: Officers responded to a report of two unfamiliar men walking around the second floor hall. The men were gone when officers checked.

5:55 a.m., Hamilton: An officer responded to a loud music complaint on the first floor.

12:18 p.m., Orr Rink: An officer investigated a 911 hang-up call.

March 10, 2003

1:05 a.m., Davis

Officers responded to a noise complaint regarding a first-floor suite. Officers confiscated an unlicensed keg and fined a student $100.

10:11 a.m.: Campus Police investigated a drug violation which involved the U.S. mail.

11:50 a.m., Clark House: A workman accidentally activated a fire alarm while working in the building.

5:45 p.m., Orr Rink: An officer investigated a 911 hang-up call.

6:11 p.m., Valentine Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

6:45 p.m., Pratt: Steam from hot water left running in a sink on the second floor activated a fire alarm.

11:23 p.m., Jenkins Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

4:45 p.m., Alumni Gym: Officers assisted a disoriented man from off campus.

2:19 a.m., James Hall: Officers responded to a loud music complaint on the third floor.

2:20 a.m., Main Campus: Campus Police towed two vehicles for being parked in violation of the winter parking ban.

6:06 a.m., Davis: Campus Police dispatched an officer and ambulance for a medical emergency.

10:01 a.m., Valentine Dining Hall: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured employee.

11:48 p.m., Taplin Dormitory: A resident reported two unfamiliar men entered his suite. Officers located the men and identified them as Amherst students.

3:56 a.m., Hamilton: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

2:46 p.m., Pond Dormitory: A workman accidentally activated a fire alarm.

7:52 p.m., Moore Dormitory: Cooking odors from the kitchen activated a fire alarm.

2:41 a.m., Crossett: An officer encountered two men carrying a keg and fined one student $100.

2:46 a.m., Cohan Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

9:10 p.m., Freshman Quad: An employee reported that her car was "keyed" while parked.

9:00 p.m., Stearns: An officer investigated a duress alarm.
