3:15 p.m., Frost Library:
An employee reported that a student left the building with two chair cushions. An officer went to the student's room and retrieved the cushions. Campus Police referred the matter to the Dean's office.

5:50 a.m., Jenkins Dormitory: An officer responded to Jenkins where a student reported that his girlfriend had been drinking and that he was unable to find her. The officer checked the area and found the woman on the ground nearby. The woman did not need any medical attention.

4:38 p.m., Snell Street:
An employee reported that a fire extinguisher was thrown through a window at a College-owned house.

11:11 a.m., Cohan Dormitory: An employee reported that an unfamiliar man was trying to get into the building without an access code. When an officer approached the man he ran across Rt. 9 and into Valentine. A short time later he was seen running from Valentine towards Drew House. Campus Police then received a call from a resident of Cohan who stated that she had let him into the building. Officers monitored all doors to the building while two officers did a room-by-room check, but they were unable to find the man.
October 6, 2002
5:53 p.m., Valentine Hall: An officer responded to a report of three youths about 12 years old who were harassing students. The youths fled as the officer approached them.

6:40 a.m., Webster Circle:
A student-owned vehicle was found damaged when a dumpster rolled or was pushed into the vehicle.

Campus Police called in the environmental police to pick up an injured hawk.

3:05 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: A resident reported items stolen from his room. The responding officer located the items in the hallway and returned them to the owner.

4:06 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer responded to a report of a fight near the dorm. The officer found the involved individuals to be members of the medieval sword fighting club.

4:33 a.m.: Officers responded to a complaint of snow being thrown at the building. Officers discovered that snow had fallen from the roof.

12:09 a.m., Chapin Hall: Officers responded to a report of a man entering via a window. The officers identified the person as a UMass student who was looking for a meeting.

10:01 p.m., Crossett Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of someone lying on the ground. The officers found a student who was using a telescope to view the stars.
March 10, 2002
10:11 a.m.: Campus Police investigated a drug violation which involved the U.S. mail.
6:45 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: Steam from hot water left running in a sink on the second floor accidentally activated a fire alarm.
