2:52 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: An officer observed a student fall down some stairs. ACEMS' evaluation was that the student was intoxicated.

8:08 a.m., Valentine Hall: A malfunctioning smoke detector set off a fire alarm.

September 22, 2003

10:42 p.m., Stearns Dormitory: A student reported that as they walked by someone threw something out of a fourth-floor window. An officer checked the area but found nothing unusual.

September 23, 2003

12:10 p.m., Chapin Hall: Water entering a smoke detector activated a fire alarm.

September 24, 2003

3:32 a.m., Stearns: An officer responded to a report of a room smoke detector sounding in a fourth-floor room. The officer discovered that a student had fallen asleep with a cigarette, which caused a couch to catch on fire.

6:42 p.m., Plimpton House and Seligman House: An officer served a court summons to a student.

10:37 p.m., Stearns: Excessive cigarette smoke in a fourth-floor room activated a fire alarm.

September 25, 2003

2:07 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

2:26 a.m., Service Building: An injured student came seeking medical attention for a lacerated hand.

2:54 p.m., Pond Dormitory: An officer responded to a loud music complaint.

September 26, 2003

12:40 a.m., Moore Dormitory: An officer in the area discovered a student with a bottle of tequila. The officer asked the student to dump out the alcohol because the student was underage.

1:50 a.m., Route 9: An officer investigated a report of a minor assault that occurred near the bus stop.

3:15 a.m., Fayerweather Hall: An officer near the building found an intoxicated UMass student. The student was transported to UMass.

8:47 p.m., Hamilton House: A student reported that the bumper on his vehicle was damaged while it was parked at the house.

4:00 p.m., Stearns: An officer responded to a fourth-floor room regarding a drug violation.

8:06 p.m., Converse Hall: An officer stopped someone driving a vehicle in the wrong direction outside the building.

September 27, 2003

2:20 a.m., Drew House: Officers responded to assist the party monitors with crowd control.

3:55 a.m., Mayo-Smith House: An officer responded to a report that a student was causing a disturbance.

1:07 p.m., Crossett Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

11:29 p.m., Davis Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated student.

September 28, 2003

12:16 a.m., Stone Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist a student who had fallen down stairs.

12:23 a.m., Garman House: A resident reported a vehicle being operated in a suspicious manner.

1:19 a.m., Crossett: Officers found a keg in the basement. The officers fined residents $100.

1:57 a.m., Hills Parking Lot: A student visiting a residence near the lot reported that he was assaulted. Officers responded and then contacted the Amherst Town Police since the house was not on College property.

2:04 a.m., Crossett: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

2:16 a.m., Converse Bus Stop: Officers responded to a report of an assault on a student. Officers responded and then contacted the Amherst Town Police since the incident occurred on town property.

2:32 a.m., Pratt: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

3:20 a.m., Octagon: A party monitor reported that he confiscated a box cutter from a person who was attempting to get into a party.

3:38 a.m., Pond: Officers responded to a loud music complaint.

4:05 a.m., Octagon: Officers responded to a report that a party monitor was having difficulty with an intoxicated person.

11:04 p.m. Orr Rink: A student reported that the side window of his vehicle had been smashed out and stereo stolen. The vehicle was parked in the Orr Rink lot at the
