8:16 a.m., Converse Hall: An employee reported surfaces and steps had been written on with black marker.

9:59 a.m., Seeley Mudd Building: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

11:55 a.m., Valentine Hall: An employee reported the theft of a cell phone.

11:55 a.m., Alumni parking lot: An employee reported that his motorcycle had been moved while it was parked.

October 1, 2003

4:57 p.m., Jenkins Dormitory: An unidentified cause activated a fire alarm.

6:40 p.m., Hills Lot: An officer checking the lot found a vehicle door open. The owner was contacted and he checked the vehicle but reported nothing missing.

6:50 p.m., Garman House: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

8:58 p.m., Williston Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

11:47 p.m., Valentine Hall: A snack bar employee reported a student leaving the area with what appeared to be college-owned property. An officer stopped the student and confirmed the property was the student's.

October 2, 2003

12:01 a.m., Moore Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

1:01 a.m., Seelye House: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

3:10 a.m., Seelye : Officers responded to a noise complaint. They found two unlicensed kegs. They confiscated the kegs and fined two students $100 each.

6:46 a.m., Fayerweather Hall: An officer and the Amherst Town Fire Department responded to assist a person stuck in an elevator.

October 3, 2003

12:08 a.m., College Hall: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated man lying on the ground near the building. The man was transported to his home in town.

5:23 p.m., Tyler House: A resident reported two unfamiliar men in a car drinking beer. An officer responded and identified the men.

10:24 p.m., Stearns Dormitory: An officer encountered a group of students in the basement with beer. The officer confiscated the alcohol.

October 4, 2003

4:26 p.m., Pratt Field: A visitor reported a man was missing from his party while at the football game. The man was located nearby on a town street.

7:50 p.m., Pond Dormitory: An officer discovered an unlicensed keg in the basement. The officer fined residents $100.

9:10 p.m., Social quad: An officer found two underage students carrying a thirty pack of beer. The officer confiscated the beer because the students were underage. The officer also confiscated some alcohol in the basement of Pond.

10:32 p.m., Stone Dormitory: An officer nearby observed a candle burning in a first-floor window. The officer found no one in the room, extinguished the candle and fined the resident $100.

October 5, 2003

12:06 a.m., Tyler: Officers responded to a noise complaint but found the noise coming from a house in the neighborhood. They notified the Town Police.

2:53 a.m., Pond: Officers responded to a noise complaint.

1:26 p.m., Bike Path: Officers responded to a report of an injured person near the tennis courts.

3:09 p.m., Moore: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

5:30 p.m., Pond: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

October 8, 2003

12:53 a.m., Davis Dormitory: Excessive cigarette smoke activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100.

October 9, 2003

10:16 p.m., James Dormitory: Officers confiscated alcohol from a fourth-floor room.

October 10, 2003

12:08 a.m., Charles Drew House: An unidentified cause activated a fire alarm.

1:22 p.m., Service Building: An officer responded to a report of an unknown man taking iron from a physical plant storage pile. The officer stopped the man and subsequently learned that there were two warrants for his arrest.

3:37p.m., Humphries House: An officer responded to a medical call.

October 11, 2003

12:43 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

2:20 a.m., Crossett Dormitory: A student pulled an alarm station for no apparent reason, activating the fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100. An officer also discovered a small amount of drugs in a room. The officer referred the student to the dean of students' office.

October 12, 2003

2:48 a.m., Moore: Officers responded to a report of a verbal altercation between two men.

10:10 a.m., Coolidge Dormitory: An officer responded to a report of vandalism in the basement. One chair was found smashed and glass bottles were broken over the floor. Officers confiscated a keg and fined residents $100.

October 13, 2003

3:05 a.m., Newport: An officer responded to a noise complaint.

October 14, 2003

3:29 a.m., Seligman House: An unidentified cause activated a fire alarm.

3:11p.m., Tyler: An officer responded to a report of youths smoking marijuana behind the dorm. The officer did not find anyone.

4:54 p.m., Alumni Parking Lot: A student reported her car was damaged while parked in the lot.

October 15, 2003

9:04 p.m., Stone: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

9:13 p.m., Marsh House: An officer investigated a duress alarm.
