1:55 p.m., Cohan Dormitory: An officer located a keg in a bathroom. The officer fined one student $100.

November 11, 2003

10:20 a.m., Merrill Science Center: A faulty smoke detector activated the fire alarm.

3:51 p.m., Valentine Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

9:43 p.m.: An employee reported an apparent break-in to a college-owned house which is currently vacant.

November 13, 2003

10:52 p.m., Coolidge Dormitory: An officer confiscated two kegs from the basement. 

3:36 p.m., Merrill: An officer responded to a report of a man trying to sell art work. The officer located the man and advised him to leave since he had no prior permission to sell on campus.

11:57 p.m., Stone Dormitory: Someone pulled an alarm station for no apparent reason, activating a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100.

November 14, 2003

12:39 p.m., Hamilton House: Officers responded to a complaint regarding a loud stereo on the second floor. Campus Police received a second complaint at 1:35 a.m. but the responding officer found no one present in the room. The officer entered the room and shut off the stereo.

8:00 p.m., Pond Dormitory: An officer confiscated alcohol from an under-age student.

November 15, 2003

12:51 a.m., Hamilton: Officers responded to a complaint of loud music.

1:09 a.m., Little Red School House: An anonymous caller reported that a man smashed a window by throwing a bottle at it. Officers checked but could not find the man.

1:26 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

8:28 p.m., Stearns Dormitory: An officer on rounds smelled the odor of marijuana coming from a third-floor room. Upon checking, the officer spoke to a student and confiscated a small amount of marijuana. The officer found that the student had disconnected the room smoke detector and fined the student $100.

November 16, 2003

1:04 a.m., Valentine: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

2:27 a.m., Construction Area: Officers responded to a report of three people entering the construction area behind Coolidge Dormitory. Officers searched the area but could not find anybody.

3:04 a.m., Pratt: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

5:28 a.m., Garman House: Campus Police dispatched an officer and an ambulance to assist an ill student.

November 19, 2003

2:10 a.m., Mayo-Smith House: An officer responded to a complaint about people yelling on the third floor. 

2:40 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium: A student reported the theft of a bicycle from the lobby.

11:27 p.m., Crossett Dormitory: An officer responded to a complaint regarding loud music coming from Pond. 

November 20, 2003

12:44 a.m., Crossett: Officers responded to a complaint regarding loud music coming from a second-floor suite. While at the suite, officers found an unlicensed keg. Officers fined one resident $100.

2:15 a.m., James Dormitory: An officer responded to a complaint about loud people on the Freshman Quad.

1:00 p.m., Morrow Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm. 

3:36 p.m., Moore Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched officers and an ambulance to assist an ill student in a fourth-floor room.

6:14 p.m., Davis Dormitory: Two residents each reported the theft of laptop computers from their unlocked rooms.

7:24 p.m., Pond: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

10:48 p.m., Pratt: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

November 21, 2003

1:47 a.m., Stone: A resident complained about loud music on the third floor.

5:48 a.m., Converse Bus Stop: An employee reported a man acting suspiciously.

10:03 p.m., Orr Ice Rink: Campus Police dispatched an ambulance to assist an injured hockey player.

11:28 p.m., Tyler House: An officer patrolling found an unresponsive man in a car parked on the town street. The officer notified the Amherst Town Police.

2:12 p.m., Frost Library: Officers arrested Golden A. Nwanoka for trespassing after he refused to leave.

9:05 p.m., Stone: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

1:30 a.m., Cohan: A resident reported a disturbance outside the building. Officers checked the area but found nothing.

2:12 p.m., Seelye House: Campus Police responded to a report that wind had caused a dumpster to roll into a car parked in the parking lot.

5:39 p.m., Alumni Gym: Campus Police responded to a report of a minor motor vehicle accident.

12:33 a.m., The Waldorf-Astoria: Burnt popcorn in the lounge activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100.

December 4, 2003

1:09 a.m., Mayo-Smith: An officer responded to a report of an unwanted male in a first-floor room.

2:29 a.m., Moore: Excessive cigarette smoke on the fourth floor activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100.
