April 7, 2004

9:57 p.m., Stearns Hall: An officer smelled marijuana coming from a third-floor room. The officer confiscated a small amount of marijuana and drug smoking materials from a resident and filed a report with the dean of students' office.

10:40 p.m., Stearns : Officers on patrol found alcoholic containers in a room. The officers spoke to the residents and had them dispose of the remaining alcohol.

April 8, 2004

12:50 a.m., Stone Dormitory : Officers responded to a noise complaint.

12:52 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: Officers observed alcoholic containers in a room through an open door. Officers spoke to the residents and confiscated the remaining alcohol.

1:07 a.m., Cohan Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music.

3:37 a.m., Seelye House: Officers responded to a report of an unfamiliar man passed out in the common area. Officers determined that the man, who had no legitimate reason to be at the College, was intoxicated but not in need of medical assistance.  Officers placed him in protective custody.

11:07 p.m., Valentine Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

12:38 p.m., Stearns: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

1:44 a.m., Jenkins Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of a fight outside.

1:50 a.m., Davis Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music in the basement.

1:57 a.m., Pond Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance outside.

2:15 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: An officer responded to a report of a student acting suspiciously.

3:54 p.m., Charles Drew House: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

4:17 p.m., Davis Dormitory: A student reported the theft of a digital camera from her purse during a party held the previous evening.

10:42 p.m., Keefe Campus Center: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured visitor.

April 10, 2004

12:41 a.m., Pond: Officers responded to a report of a possible fire. The officers found an unattended grill with an extinguisher [near it].

2:36 a.m., Seligman House: Officers arrived to assist an intoxicated visitor.

8:04 p.m., The Plaza: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

8:18 p.m., Little Red School House: An officer responded to a report of a broken window.

10:05 p.m., Valentine:

An officer on patrol observed that a smoke detector in a student's room was covered with a plastic bag. The officer removed the bag and fined the resident $100 for tampering with fire equipment.

10:08 p.m., Davis: Officers on patrol shut down an unauthorized party. The officers confiscated multiple 30-packs of beer.

11:47 p.m., Octagon: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music.

April 11, 2004

1:05 a.m., Hamilton House: Officers on patrol observed five people on the roof. The officers directed the people to get down.

1:58 a.m., Tyler House: Officers responded to a noise complaint.

7:54 p.m., Seelye: A resident reported the theft of a Compaq laptop computer.

8:10 p.m., Smith College: Smith College Public Safety reported an incident involving an Amherst student.
