2:50 a.m., Hitchcock House: An officer responded to a noise complaint made by a town resident. The officers found the noise emanating from a third-floor room and issued the students a warning.

8:34 p.m., Plimpton House: Amherst town police reported that town residents had placed a number of noise complaints. Campus Police officers responded and cleared out a gathering of students.

9:14 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: Officers responded to a noise complaint on the fourth floor and issued a warning. Officers also dispersed a gathering in a third-floor room and confiscated some alcohol.

11:00 p.m., Mayo-Smith House: Officers responded to a noise complaint and shut down an unauthorized party. The officers confiscated one unlicensed keg. When the officers were leaving the house one noticed that someone had smashed a tail light on one of the cruisers.

Sept. 7, 2004

2:18 a.m., Stone Dormitory: Officers responded to a noise complaint in a third-floor suite. The officers cleared out a party and confiscated an unlicensed keg. The officer fined one resident $100 for the keg.

Sept. 8, 2004

3:40 p.m., Davis Dormitory: Cookies burning in a toaster oven activated a fire alarm. Officers fined one student $100.

10:19 p.m., Robert Frost Library: Campus Police sent officers and an ambulance to a medical emergency.
