Sept. 9, 2004

12:50 p.m., Marsh House: A student reported that someone had stolen his bike, which was worth approximately $600.

2:16 p.m., Mead Art Museum: A contractor in the building accidentally set off a fire alarm.

5:07 p.m., Pond Dormitory: A student reported that someone had stolen an ACEMS radio from a storage room in the basement.

11:43 p.m., Mayo-Smith House: Officers shut down an unauthorized party in the common room.

Sept. 10, 2004

12:01 a.m., Plimpton House: Officers shut down an unauthorized party and confiscated an unlicensed keg. The officer fined one student $100 for the keg.

12:14 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: Officers investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call made from a College phone within the building. The officers found no problem.

1:43 p.m., North Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

3:32 p.m., Valentine Hall: An officer responded to a medical call involving an employee.

5:17 p.m., Seelye Mudd Building: An officer investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call someone had made from an office. The officer found no problem.

Sept. 11, 2004

12:21 a.m., Seligman House: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

12:27 a.m., Seligman: Amherst Town Police reported that many neighborhood residents had placed noise complaints about a party in the house. Campus Police went to the party and had the music lowered and the windows closed. At 1:51 a.m., Campus Police received another call from the Town Police. Officers returned to the house and shut down the party.

12:33 a.m., South Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm, but found no problems upon arrival.

1:54 a.m., Social Dorm Quad: Officers responded to a report that five belligerent males were turning over trash cans and breaking off the lower limbs of many trees. The officers could not find the men but did make note of damage to a number of trees.

1:46 p.m., Kirby Theater: An unidentified cause activated a fire alarm.

5:46 p.m., Pratt Field: An officer and an ambulance responded to a medical emergency.  

Sept. 12, 2004

12:26 a.m., Social Dorm Quad: An officer found a student urinating against the Little Red School House and stopped him. While he was speaking with the student, another student assaulted the officer, grabbing his hat from his head. The assailant fled, and the officer was unable to identify the student. The officer fined the other student $100 for the offensive behavior.

12:41 a.m., Morrow Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

12:49 a.m., Pond: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.  

1:08 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: Campus Police dispatched officers and an ambulance to the sidewalk outside to handle a medical emergency. An unidentified man walking past had been carrying a bottle on which a female student had struck her hand, inflicting a severe cut.

1:25 a.m., Pond: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

1:29 a.m., Pond: Officers responded to a report of an altercation among three people. The officers separated the individuals.

2:24 a.m., Cohan Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated, unconscious student.   

10:29 a.m., Garman House: Campus Police dispatched an officer to assist an ill student.

Sept. 13, 2004

1:04 a.m., Barrett Hill Road: An officer on patrol observed an intoxicated student who appeared to need assistance. The officer transported the student back to his room.

5:01 p.m., Converse Hall: An employee activated a fire alarm when he removed a plastic glove that he found covering a hall smoke detector. Officers reset the alarm system.

Sept. 14, 2004

1:35 p.m., Whalen House: Officers investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call. The officers found no problem.

7:55 p.m., Campus Police Office: A student escorted another student to the Campus Police office and reported a harassment-type incident which had occurred in Merrill 1.

8:02 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium: Officers investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call made from an office. The officers found no problem.

Sept. 15, 2004

7:20 a.m., Hamilton House: Campus Police towed a vehicle parked on the lawn.

10:05 a.m., Campus Police Office: A student came to the office to report issues involving a past boyfriend. The officers provided the student with assistance.

12:31 p.m., Valentine Hall: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

12:56 p.m., Goodnow Apartment: An employee reported that someone had damaged his vehicle while it was parked outside overnight.

6:55 p.m., Pratt Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

10:00 p.m., Moore Dormitory: A resident reported that while she was in the shower, someone had entered her unlocked room and moved some items around. The intruder had also changed the screen saver on her computer. Officers took a report and interviewed potential witnesses.

11:13 p.m., Davis Dormitory: Officers cleared out an unauthorized party in the basement and confiscated an unlicensed keg. The officers fined residents $100 for the keg.

Sept. 16, 2004

12:31 a.m., Cohan: A resident complained about a group of males playing football and making noise in the parking lot.  When the officer arrived, the group had already departed.

1:35 a.m., Stone Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music coming from a first-floor suite. The officers issued a warning. While they were there, the officers confiscated an unlicensed keg and fined one student $100.

Sept. 17, 2004

12:30 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: An officer checking the building heard very loud music coming from a third-floor room. When the officer knocked, nobody answered the door. The officer entered the room and shut off the music.

12:57 a.m., Grosvenor House: An officer stopped two intoxicated males who were stomping on and belly-flopping into bushes near the building.

1:03 a.m., Tyler House: A resident complained about a group of intoxicated people making noise outside the building. When the officer checked the area, the people were gone.

1:11 a.m., O'Connell Lot: An officer checked on a man who was acting in a suspicious manner.  The officer directed the man, who had no association with the College, off campus.
