Sept. 25, 2004

8:57 p.m., Barrett Hill Road: An officer stopped a vehicle whose driver failed to stop at a stop sign.  While speaking to the driver, the officer observed a keg in the vehicle. The officer discovered that the keg was unlicensed and fined the student $100.

11:46 p.m., Davis Dormitory: Excessive cigarette smoke in a second-floor suite activated a fire alarm. Officers fined residents $100 for the alarm. Officers also discovered an unlicensed keg and fined residents an additional $100.

11:47 p.m., Merrill Science Building: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS after receiving a report of an intoxicated man lying on the ground outside.

Sept. 26, 2004

12:18 a.m., Crossett Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of a fight outside the building. The officers discovered it was a verbal altercation and dispersed the students involved.

1:30 a.m., Hitchcock House: An officer responded to a complaint about loud music coming from a second-floor room. The officer found no one in the room and turned the music off. The officer also discovered loud music coming from a computer in another unoccupied room. The officer also turned that music down.

2:47 a.m., Moore Dormitory: An unidentified cause activated a fire alarm. Officers reset the system and called an electrician.

2:51 a.m., Valentine Hall: Officers responded to a complaint about people making a lot of noise and setting off fireworks on the upper porch. When the officers arrived, the people fled. The officers fined residents $100 for possession of fireworks and another $100 for creating dangerous conditions.

8:54 a.m., Hamilton House: An officer noticed a UMass van parked on the lawn. The officer called UMass and a UMass physical plant employee came to get the van.

12:21 p.m., Pond Dormitory: A student reported that someone had smashed the glass in an exterior door. Campus Police notified physical plant.

1:32 p.m., Valentine: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an ill employee.

6:15 p.m., Campus Police Office: A visitor delivered property he believed belonged to the College.

Sept. 27, 2004

9:02 a.m., Merrill: An employee reported that someone had stolen an office chair.

10:43 a.m., Alumni Gymnasium: An employee reported that he found a damaged locker in the men's locker room.

11:03 a.m., Plimpton House: A student reported that someone had stolen some clothing from the storage closet in the basement. Campus Police assigned an officer to investigate.

Sept. 28, 2004

12:40 a.m., Plimpton: A town resident reported people running around the building and yelling.  Responding officers located only one student. The officers also noted that someone had done significant damage to the lawn with a vehicle.

3:08 a.m., Williston Hall: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

10:23 p.m., McGuire Life Sciences Building: Officers checked on a 9-1-1 hang up call made from a fourth-floor room. The officers found no problem.

Sept. 29, 204

9:40 p.m., Coolidge Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

11:53 p.m., Freshman Quad: An officer on patrol encountered several underage students carrying alcohol. The officer asked the students to pour it out. 

Oct. 1, 2004

1:33 a.m., Pratt Dormitory: Officers responded to a noise complaint. The officers cleared a group of students out of one room and confiscated some alcohol.

9:51 a.m., Valentine: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and to assist an injured employee.
