3:46 p.m., Robert Frost Library: An employee reported suspicious activity.

11:22 a.m., Valentine Hall: An officer responded to a report of an injured employee. The officer assisted the employee upon arrival.

5:00 p.m., Robert Frost Library: An employee reported suspicious activity.

Jan. 12, 2005

1:33 a.m., Seelye House: Officers responded to a noise complaint on the third floor. Officers shut down a small unauthorized party in a student's room.

3:48 p.m., Robert Frost Library: An officer apprehended a juvenile engaged in inappropriate behavior on the first floor. The officer called the juvenile's guardian and had the juvenile removed from College property.

Jan. 13, 2005

1:18 a.m., Crossett Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music in a third-floor suite and asked the residents to lower the volume.

11:11 a.m., Seelye G. Mudd Building: An employee reported to Campus Police the theft of a Sanyo LCD projector, serial #G2Z01377, from a closet.

5:30 p.m., Hitchcock House: A student reported that her car was damaged when snow fell off the roof of the building.

1:30 a.m., King Dormitory: Officers investigated a duress alarm.

12:35 p.m., Pond Dormitory: A faulty detector in the basement activated a fire alarm. Campus Police notified Physical Plant to change the detector.

Jan. 15, 2005

1:26 a.m., North Hall: Steam in the basement activated a fire alarm. Officers reset the system.

2:16 a.m., Crossett: Food cooking in an unattended pot started to burn, activating a fire alarm. Campus Police fined one student $325.

4:59 a.m., Taplin Dormitory: Steam from a shower activated a fire alarm. Officers reset the system.

3:33 p.m., Converse Hall: An officer investigated the report of a burning odor and found a malfunctioning mechanical device in the basement. The officer notified Physical Plant.

10:40 p.m., Moore Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about noise on the third floor and issued a warning.

12:52 p.m., College-Owned House: An officer investigated a forced entry into a back stairway.

Jan. 20, 2005

1:31 a.m., Pond: Campus Police dispatched an officer and ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

Jan. 21, 2005

2:12 a.m., South Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

1:59 p.m., Hamilton House: Contractors who were working in the building accidentally activated the fire alarm.

3:09 p.m., Webster Circle: An officer investigated a motor vehicle accident.

10:24 p.m., Keefe Campus Center: Campus Police dispatched an officer and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

Jan. 22, 2005

1:14 a.m., Freshman Quad: An officer stopped a student he observed carrying a mop. The student reported that he took the mop from a closet in North Dormitory. The officer directed the student to return the mop.

11:07 p.m., Stone Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm.

Jan. 23, 2005

1:14 a.m., Davis Dormitory: Officers responded to a report of a fight outside. When officers checked nobody was around. Officers located and shut down an unauthorized party in a second-floor suite. They confiscated one keg and fined the residents of the room $100.

1:16 a.m., Cohan Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about a group of people yelling and causing a general disturbance at the front entrance of the building. The people were already gone when the officers arrived.

1:46 a.m., Coolidge Dormitory: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music in a suite. When officers arrived, someone had already turned down the music.

2:12 a.m., Davis: Officers responded to a complaint about loud people causing a disturbance in the stairway. Officers cleared out a group of students from the area.

2:47 a.m., Main Campus: Campus Police towed two cars parked in violation of the winter parking ban.

Jan. 25, 2005

1:00 a.m., Crossett: Officers responded to a complaint about a group of students being loud outside the building. The officers did not find anyone.

11:45 a.m., Converse: An officer investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call from a third-floor office and found no problem.

2:56 p.m., Smith House

An officer investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call and found no problem.

11:19 p.m., Moore: An officer responded to a complaint about two students standing outside and throwing snow at passing cars. The responding officer witnessed the activity and identified the students. The driver of one car returned to campus to complain. Campus Police notified Amherst Town Police since the incident occurred in their jurisdiction.

Jan. 26, 2005

1:42 a.m., Coolidge: An officer responded to a resident's complaint about loud noise in the building. When an officer investigated, the dorm was quiet.

5:00 p.m., Memorial Hill: An officer responded to assist a student who was injured while sledding.

8:46 p.m., South: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

1:21 a.m., Crossett: Officers responded to a noise complaint and shut down an unauthorized party in a first-floor suite.
