6:31 a.m., Converse Hall: An officer responded to a report that an employee had fallen in front of the building. When the officer arrived, the person in question refused medical assistance.

9:06 a.m., Kirby Theater: A fire alarm was accidentally activated.

9:38 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to the trainer's room to assist an injured student.

Feb. 24, 2005

2:00 a.m., The Waldorf-Astoria: An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

4:11 a.m., Valentine Hall: An employee reported the vandalism of ceiling tile.

8:08 a.m., Cohan Dormitory: A student reported an Internet scam which resulted in the unauthorized withdrawal of over $250 from her account.

8:30 a.m., Faculty Housing: A professor reported illegal hunting on College property.

11:43 p.m., King Hall: Officers responded to a complaint about loud music on the second floor. Officers located the source and turned down the music.

Feb. 25, 2005

1:42 a.m., Mayo Smith House: Officers responded to a complaint about a party in the common room. Officers shut down the unauthorized gathering.

1:51 a.m., Pond Dormitory: An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

1:59 a.m., Wieland Hall: Officers responded to a complaint of loud noise coming from the third floor. Officers cleared people from the area.

2:29 a.m., Main Campus: Campus Police towed three vehicles parked in violation of the winter parking ban.

2:40 a.m., Seeyle House: An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

11:42 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: An officer investigated a 9-1-1 hang up call made from an office but found no problem.

7:31 p.m., Appleton Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

11:18 p.m., Chapman House: Marijuana smoke activated a fire alarm. Campus Police fined one student $100 and referred the matter to the Dean of Students' Office.

11:25 p.m., Jenkins Dormitory: Campus Police dispatched an officer and an ambulance to assist an ill student.

Feb. 26, 2005

12:49 a.m., Keefe Campus Center: An officer who was already in the building was notified of an intoxicated man asleep on a couch. Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to evaluate his condition.

2:05 a.m., Charles Drew House: An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

2:05 a.m., Humphries House: A UMass-Amherst student reported the theft of her coat, which contained her wallet and cell phone, from the common room.

12:28 p.m., Humphries: Another visitor reported the theft of a coat from the common room during a party.

4:17 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium: An officer assisted a visitor who was searching for a missing person. The officer found the individual near Snell Street.

5:23 p.m., Humphries: A third student reported that someone had stolen a coat which had been left in a common area during a party.

5:39 p.m., Taplin Dormitory: A fire alarm was activated when a student sprayed hair spray too close to a fire detector.

Feb. 27, 2005

1:00 a.m., Seeyle: Officers responded to a complaint of a large unauthorized party. Officers shut down the party and cleared out non-residents.

2:35 a.m., Hamilton House: Officers responded to a complaint of people smashing items in the common room. Officers cleared out the group, which was apparently associated with a sports team. Officers found a smashed chair and several broken windows. Restitution will be sought.

4:00 a.m., Merrill Apartments: An officer on patrol checked on a parked vehicle which was running and found a visitor to the College sleeping inside. The officer advised the driver to find other accommodations.

1:01 p.m., Campus Police: Campus Police received a complaint from a resident of the state of Maine about a College van being driven in an unsafe manner. After looking into the matter, Campus Police revoked a student's privilege of driving college vehicles.
