Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

8:29 a.m., Hitchcock House

A resident reported that someone had smashed a window in the entryway.

7:23 p.m., Newport House

An officer checked on a student's well-being at a parent's request.

10:26 p.m., Wieland Hall

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

12:41 a.m., Garman House

The fire alarm was activated when an individual pulled an alarm station for no apparent reason. Officers fined residents $100.

4:46 p.m., Hamilton House

A fire alarm was activated for no apparent reason. Officers reset the system.

7:06 p.m., Valentine Hall

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

1:50 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated man acting in a threatening manner in the parking lot. The man was located on town property and taken into protective custody by the Amherst Police.

8:50 a.m., Barrett Hall

An officer investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call made from a first-floor office but found no problem.

6:39 p.m., Leland House

Smoke caused by cooking in the kitchen activated the fire alarm. Officers reset the system.

9:02 p.m., South Dormitory

An officer investigated a report of an unfamiliar man in the building. The man was found posting flyers on the third floor. He was escorted out and warned that prior authorization is necessary to enter dorm buildings.

10:19 a.m., McGuire Life Sciences

An officer investigated a 9-1-1 hang-up call but found no problem.

9:26 p.m., South Pleasant Street

Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a College-owned house and resolved the matter.

7:40 p.m., Williston Hall

A student reported that someone had stolen a bike valued at $250 from near the building.

11:07 p.m., Hitchcock

An officer on rounds in the house found an unlicensed keg in the kitchen and fined residents $100.

Sept. 9, 2005

12:35 a.m., Hitchcock

An Amherst town resident complained about a loud party. Officers shut down the party and confiscated two kegs. Residents were fined $100 for each keg.

1:00 a.m., Wieland

Officers responded to a complaint of loud noise in front of the building. The officers found students hitting a ball with a plastic bat and asked them to stop.

1:39 a.m., East Drive

An anonymous caller reported an intoxicated man with a beer getting into a car.

11:16 a.m., Robert Frost Library

An officer checked on a 9-1-1 hang-up call and found no problem.
