A basement detector activated a fire alarm for no apparent reason. The responding officers reset the system.

11:43 a.m., Campus Police

An Amherst Animal Control Officer reported information regarding a dog biting a student at an off-campus location.

9:04 p.m., Pond Dormitory

An officer passing by the dorm encountered a student with an unlicensed keg. The officer confiscated the keg and fined the student $100.

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

6:20 a.m., James Hall

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

4:26 p.m., Pratt Field

An officer responded to a complaint regarding youths who were throwing mud at parked vehicles. The officer identified the youths and stopped the activity.

5:00 p.m., Campus Police

A student reported being involved in a motor vehicle accident with a College-owned van while off campus.

10:26 p.m., James

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

11:38 p.m., Seligman House

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

3:18 a.m., Appleton Hall

An attic detector activated a fire alarm for an unknown reason. Officers reset the system. Physical plant changed the detector after a second alarm occurred at 8:44 a.m.

8:52 a.m., Jenkins Dormitory

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured employee outside.

2:28 p.m., Seelye House

A student reported the theft of his room key. An officer took a report and made arrangements to replace the lock.

2:37 p.m., Valentine Hall

Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person near the basement entrance. The officers escorted the man off campus.

4:30 p.m., Kirby Theater

Officers responded to a report of people on the roof. The officer ordered the people to leave and issued a warning.

6:57 a.m., Taplin Dormitory

A detector on the third floor activated a fire alarm for an unknown reason. Officers reset the system.

8:33 a.m., Hamilton House

An officer responded to a report of a suspicious bag that was outside of the building. It was identified as the property of a student.

12:21 p.m., James

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

3:32 p.m., King

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

5:26 p.m., Jenkins

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

11:08 p.m., Moore

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the fourth floor and issued a warning to the students in the room. At 11:31 p.m. officers received a second complaint. The officers returned and found a loud television in a different room on the fourth floor. While in the room, officers confiscated a pipe with burnt marijuana residue. The matter was referred to the dean's office.

11:59 p.m., Cohan Dormitory

Officers responded to a complaint of someone smashing glass outside the building. Officers discovered six students smashing a privately-owned television. Officers stopped the activity and directed the students to clean up the mess.

12:34 a.m., Pond

An officer responded to a noise complaint at a first-floor room and issued a warning. While in the room, the officer discovered a pipe with burnt marijuana residue. The officer confiscated the pipe and the matter was referred to the dean's office.

3:57 p.m., Pratt Field

Campus Police dispatched an ambulance to assist an injured football player.

4:12 a.m., Chapman House

An officer responded to a complaint of loud music and turned off the music in an unattended room.

5:05 a.m., Tyler House

Campus police dispached an officer and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

2:01 a.m., Crossett Dormitory

An officer responded to a report of an intoxicated male passed out in the entryway. Campus police dispatched an ambulance after the officer evaluated the student.

10:32 a.m., Leland House

A fire sprinkler was activated in a second-floor apartment when a sprinkler head was hit.

2:43 a.m., Drew House

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the third floor and issued a warning.

3:54 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Officers responded to a noise complaint in the common room and issued a warning.

11:34 a.m., Stone

Smoke from food burning on a hot plate activated the smoke detector of a first-floor suite. Officers fined the resident $100 and confiscated the hot plate.

6:10 p.m., Moore

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the fourth floor. The officers issued a warning.

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

12:11 a.m., Pond

Smoke from burnt popcorn activated the fire alarm in a first-floor room. Officers fined resident $100 for the alarm.

Amherst Town Police reported information to the College about an Amherst student who had trespassed at a business in town.
