2:24 a.m., King Hall

Officers responded to a noise complaint in the basement and issued a warning.

12:01 p.m., Crossett Dormitory

An officer at a first-floor suite found two unlicensed kegs. Officers fined the residents $100 for one keg and fined a student $100 for the second keg.

1:42 p.m., Seelye House

An officer responded to a report of an unwanted person outside the building. The man was escorted off campus.

3:18 p.m., James Hall

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

11:56 p.m., Mayo-Smith House

An officer responding to a noise complaint discovered two kegs in a third- floor room. Residents were fined $200.

October 14, 2005

1:05 a.m., The Plaza

An officer encountered an intoxicated woman and arranged for her care.

2:10 a.m., Cohan Dormitory

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the second floor and issued a warning.

2:43 a.m., Stone Dormitory

An officer investigated a duress alarm but found no problem.

2:53 p.m., Chapin Hall

An employee reported the theft of an air conditioning unit.

12:21 a.m., The Waldorf-Astoria

An officer checking the building discovered that the wall near the lounge was damaged.

October 15, 2005

9:53 p.m., Crossett

An officer passing by noticed some alcohol that had been left by the dorm building.

10:26 p.m., Tyler House

A student accidentally hit a sprinkler head on the third floor and activated a fire alarm. Flooding from the sprinkler caused residents to be displaced for the night.

11:39 p.m., Pond Dormitory

Cigarette smoke activated a fire alarm of a first-floor suite. Residents were fined $100 for the alarm. While in the building the officers found a student with an unlicensed keg. Officers confiscated the keg and fined the student $100.

October 16, 2005

1:31 a.m., Campus Police

Amherst Town Police reported that officers had broken up a party near the Hills Lot and that there were approximately 80 people in the lot. Campus Police responded to the report and dispersed the group.
