An officer responded to a report of a man sleeping on a couch. Officers identified the man as a student.

4:12 p.m., Bike Path

Campus Police dispatched an officer and the Amherst Fire Department to a small fire.

4:52 p.m., Orr Rink

Officers responded to a medical incident.

11:00 p.m., Hitchcock House

A student pulled an alarm for no apparent reason and activated the fire alarm. Officers fined the student $100 and referred the matter to the Dean's office.

11:11 p.m., James Hall

An officer on patrol found a resident with some beer. The officer disposed of the alcohol.

11:36 p.m., East Drive

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated person walking along the road but found no one.

11:58 p.m., Hitchcock

Officers on patrol encountered a student in the parking lot with an unlicensed keg. Officers confiscated the keg and fined the student $100.

11:59 p.m., Hitchcock

Officers responded to a complaint of a male verbally harassing a woman. The woman declined to identify the man and did not request any other assistance.

Officers responded to a noise complaint and found approximately 60 people in the common room. Officers advised the individuals to leave the area.

1:53 a.m., Seelye House

Officers responded to a noise complaint and found two kegs. Officers confiscated the kegs and fined two students $100 each.

2:35 a.m., Moore Dormitory

Burnt popcorn from the second floor kitchen activated a fire alarm. Officers fined the residents $100 for the alarm and $100 for creating an endangering situation.

2:58 a.m. Crossett Dormitory

Officers responded to a noise complaint at a second floor suite and issued a warning.

3:30 a.m., Main Campus

Campus Police towed 10 parked vehicles for violating the winter parking ban.

An officer responded to a noise complaint on the second floor and issued a warning.

A student reported the theft of a Mackie pre-amp from the band room. On Feb. 20, 2006, Campus Police received notice that the amp was anonymously returned to the band room.

A painting reported stolen from Wieland on Feb. 10, 2006 was recovered from a common room.

11:22 a.m., Converse Hall

Officers assisted an employee who became stuck inside a malfunctioning elevator.

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured employee.

A resident reported that someone had vandalized his computer by pouring water over it.

An officer investigated what appeared to be racial remarks written on a wall.

Officers assisted the Amherst Police in dealing with a man who was loitering.

A resident reported the theft of $250 cash from her room. Officers are investigating the matter.

Officers responded to a complaint of a large party and dispersed the party.

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS, officers and an ambulance to the basement to assist an intoxicated man.

2:05 a.m., East Drive

An officer confiscated alcohol from an underage visitor who was encountered outside the building.

7:24 a.m., Hitchcock

An officer responded to a report of a woman sitting on a bathroom floor who may need assistance but found no one.

8:03 a.m., Hitchcock

An officer on patrol found a full keg outside the building. The officer fined one student $100.

8:20 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

An officer investigated vandalism to a dryer.

6:01 p.m., King Hall

An officer responded to a report of an unfamiliar man attempting to enter the building. The officer identified the man as the father of a prospective student.

Officers responded to a noise complaint at a first floor suite. Officers ordered students to lower the volume and confiscated an unlicensed keg. Officers fined the room group $100.

12:15 p.m., East Drive

An officer located an I.D. along the road, which had been in a coat reported stolen. Campus Police returned the items to the owner.

11:23 p.m., Hamilton House

An officer responded to a complaint of a bat in the house. The officer removed the bat.

A resident reported that another student had seen an unknown man in her room while she was away for a few days. Officers are investigating the matter.
