An officer assisted food service staff with a student who was attempting to get food before the opening time.

10:04 p.m., Webster Center

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

11:47 p.m., South College

An officer in the building discovered several underage students with alcohol on the fourth floor. The officer identified the students and confiscated the alcohol.

Feb. 25, 2006

10:05 p.m., Waldorf Dormitory

An officer checking the building found an underage student with alcohol. The officer confiscated the alcohol.

10:12 p.m., Plaza Dormitory

An officer checking the building found marijuana smoke coming from a room. The officer confiscated alcohol, marijuana and smoking equipment. Campus Police referred the matter to the dean's office. The officer also discovered a covered smoke detector and fined the resident $100.

11:49 p.m., Stone Hall

An officer found a smashed television in front of the building.

11:59 p.m., Pond Hall

Officers responded to a loud music complaint. They found a band playing in a second floor suite and shut the band down.

12:19 a.m., Hamilton House

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an intoxicated student.

1:14 a.m., Hamilton

Officers responded to a loud music complaint. The officers discovered a party in the common room and shut it down.

3:30 a.m., Seelye House

Officers responded to a complaint of loud people in the third floor hall. Officers dispersed the crowd.

4:48 a.m., Taplin Hall

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

6:10 p.m., Stone

A resident reported damage to his room door. Campus Police notified a locksmith.

Feb. 27, 2006

12:04 a.m., Seelye

An officer responded to a noise complaint at a third floor room. The officer found evidence of marijuana and confiscated smoking equipment. Campus Police referred the matter to the dean's office.

11:09 a.m., Newport House Lot

An officer investigated a motor vehicle accident.

4:00 p.m., Off-Campus

A student reported being involved in an accident with a College-owned vehicle. Campus Police took a report.

1:35 p.m., Valentine

A student reported the theft of a guitar and case valued at $150.

4:31 p.m., Merrill Science Center

Campus Police dispatched an officer and ambulance to a medical emergency.

March 2, 2006

1:02 a.m., Stearns Hall

Officers responded to a complaint of partying in a basement room. Officers found no one when they arrived at the scene but discovered several empty alcoholic beverage bottles.

9:33 a.m., Valentine

A student reported the theft of an Apple Video iPod valued at $330 from the coat room.

March 3, 2006

1:02 a.m., Davis Hall

A smoke detector in a first floor suite activated a fire alarm for an unknown reason. Officers reset the system and also confiscated 50 candles from one room and fined the resident $25.

6:35 a.m., Valentine

An employee reported damage to the gates that secure the dining area.

7:19 a.m., Service Road

An employee reported a minor motor vehicle accident.

8:29 p.m., East Drive

Amherst Town Police followed a vehicle on campus and arrested a student for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The police charged another student with possessing a keg without a permit.

9:55 p.m., Pond

Officers responded to an anonymous complaint of someone smoking marijuana in a second floor suite. The report was unfounded.

March 4, 2006

1:55 a.m., Social Dorm Quad

An officer on patrol found the motor vehicle chain near Davis damaged.

12:36 p.m., Stone

An officer investigated a report of forced entry into a room. The resident reported nothing missing.

12:52 p.m., Mead Art Museum

An officer responded to a report of a suspicious acting man who left a card for a student worker. Officers are investigating the matter.

9:51 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium

An officer investigated a motor vehicle accident.

10:54 p.m., James Hall

An officer checking the building found four dozen cans of beer in the fourth floor common room. The officer also encountered several people in a second floor room with alcohol who did not live there. The officer asked the students to leave and locked the room.

March 5, 2006

1:05 a.m., Seelye

A resident reported vandalism of his room door.

1:09 a.m., Hamilton

Officers responded to a noise complaint and found a group of students playing a drinking game in the common room. Officers shut down the game.

1:09 a.m., Hitchcock House

A town resident complained about a loud party. Officers shut down the party and confiscated a keg. The officers also charged one student $100 for the unlicensed keg.

3:07 a.m., Coolidge Hall Lot

Officers responded to a report of a possible fight. The people settled the matter before the officers arrived.

3:51 a.m., South

Officers responded to a report of two unfamiliar men sleeping in the common room. Officers identified the men as Clark University students who were visiting an Amherst student.

1:39 p.m., Stearns

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

9:38 p.m., Pond

Officers responded to a noise complaint at a second floor suite. Officers asked the student to turn down the volume.

March 6, 2006

1:44 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Burnt popcorn from a second floor room activated the fire alarm. Officers fined the resident $100 for the alarm. Officers also discovered an unlicensed keg and fined the resident another $100.
