A student reported that someone had written an obscenity on his vehicle.

7:43 a.m., Stearns Hall

An officer investigated vandalism to a wall in the basement.

11:02 p.m., James Hall

Officers responded to a report of people drinking on the fourth floor near the elevator, but found no one. While checking the rest of the building, an officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from a third floor room. Officers confiscated a small amount of marijuana and smoking equipment, and referred the matter to the dean's office.

March 9, 2006

12:03 a.m., Coolidge Hall

Officers responded to a report of people being loud on the second floor hall. Officers quieted the group and had them leave the area.

1:45 a.m., Seligman House

An officer responded to a noise complaint of a loud television on the second floor. The resident lowered the volume.

March 10, 2006

12:08 a.m., Stone Hall

Officers responded to a noise complaint at a first floor suite and shut down a party. Officers confiscated two unlicensed kegs and fined two students $100 each. Officers also detected marijuana smoke in one room. Officers identified the resident of the room and referred the matter to the dean's office.

1:00 a.m., Crossett Hall

Officers responding to a noise complaint discovered loud music coming from a third floor suite. Officers quieted a party and confiscated two unlicensed kegs. Officers also fined two students $100 each.

6:30 a.m., Pond Hall

An officer responded to a noise complaint of loud music and found the room unoccupied. The officer turned the music off.

11:34 p.m., Drew House

Officers investigated a physical altercation between two students. The students involved chose not to file an official complaint at the time. Officers referred the matter to the dean's office.

March 11, 2006

1:06 a.m., Moore Dormitory

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

1:52 a.m., Coolidge

Officers responded to a complaint of people drinking in the basement. Officers found three students and asked them to leave.

2:15 a.m., Off-Campus

Officers encountered a man involved in a fight at a house near the Hills Parking Lot. Campus Police called the Amherst Town Police.

3:45 a.m., Moore

Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person knocking on a student's door. The officers later located the individual in Valentine Hall and issued a warning.

6:45 a.m., Valentine Hall

An employee reported that someone wrote with black marker in one of the restrooms.

4:45 p.m., James

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student.

11:30 p.m., Crossett

An officer responded to a loud music complaint in the basement and found a small group of students and a band. The officer issued a warning.

11:43 p.m., Moore

Campus Police received a noise complaint about a party on the fourth floor. Since the party had been registered earlier, Campus Police were able to notify a student of the complaint.

11:46 p.m., Stone

Officers responded to a noise complaint in a suite and issued a warning.

March 12, 2006

12:39 a.m., Hamilton House

An officer on patrol observed a man drop his pants and expose himself. The officer identified the man and referred the matter to the dean's office.

12:57 a.m., Garman House

A fire alarm sounded when two alarm stations were pulled for no apparent reason. Officers fined the residents $200.

1:32 a.m., Hamilton

A Lead Party Monitor lowered the music volume after receiving a noise complaint for an authorized party.

1:36 a.m., Hitchcock House

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an intoxicated student.

2:10 a.m., Crossett

Someone activated a fire alarm by pulling an alarm station on the second floor for no apparent reason. Officers fined the residents $100.

3:26 a.m., Campus Police

Amherst Town Police reported to Campus Police that it was transporting an intoxicated student back to Pond.

3:35 a.m., Davis Hall

Officers responded to a report of a person refusing to leave a student's room. The person was leaving when officers arrived.

6:55 a.m., Hitchcock

An employee reported a vandalized bench and message board in the common room.

3:56 p.m., Cohan Dormitory

A student complained about a rodent in her room. The rodent was removed prior to the officer's arrival.

11:57 p.m., Appleton Hall

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist a student.

10:56 p.m., Hamilton

Burnt popcorn in the common room triggered a fire alarm. Officers fined the residents $100.

March 15, 2006

1:39 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Officers responded to a noise complaint of loud people on the second floor. Officers dispersed approximately 10 students from the hall.

6:46 p.m., Stearns

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an ill student.

10:59 p.m., Stearns

Campus Police dispatched an officer and an ambulance to a medical emergency.

March 16, 2006

8:20 a.m., Keefe Health Center

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an ill student who was outside the building. Health Services was closed at the time.

March 17, 2006

8:30 a.m., Hitchcock

An officer removed an unlicensed keg from the first floor bathroom and fined residents $100.

12:05 p.m., Crossett

An officer encountered a student with an unlicensed keg. The officer confiscated the keg and fined the student $100.
