An officer found a visitor tampering with a car cover. The officer identified the individual and told him to leave. There was no damage to the car.

1:05 a.m., Hills Lot

An officer observed an open door on a car and found two people asleep inside. The officers determined that they had been drinking and that a third person had driven the car.

2:10 a.m., Morrow Dormitory

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS to assist an injured student.

2:14 a.m., Converse Parking Lot

An officer investigated an assault.

8:34 a.m., Valentine Hall

A student reported the theft of a maroon KHS bicycle from the front of the building. The bicycle costs $250.

11:44 a.m., Jenkins Dormitory

An officer recovered a wall plaque stolen from Stearns Hall two years ago.

5:50 p.m., Humphries House

Smoke from burning food activated the fire alarm in the kitchen. Officers fined the residents $100.

An officer discovered a lit candle in a first-floor room and fined the resident $100.

An officer disposed of a hypodermic needle found at the library.

A student reported that his iPod was stolen from his unlocked room while he was away. At 11:35 a.m., another Crossett resident reported a similar theft.

Campus Police dispatched ACEMS and an ambulance to assist an injured student.

Campus Police dispatched an ambulance to assist an injured employee.

A student reported that his wallet was stolen.

Officers apprehended three local youths inside the vacant building.

6:30 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium

Campus police dispatched an ambulance and officers to assist an injured student.

1:16 a.m., James Hall

Officers responded to a report of vandalism and identified the students responsible for the damage. The officers referred the matter to the Dean's office.

2:09 a.m., South College

Campus Police dispatched an ambulance and officers to assist an injured student.

2:23 a.m., Mayo-Smith House

Officers responded to a noise complaint and issued a warning.

Officers responded to a noise complaint at a first floor suite and issued a warning.

Officers assisted Amherst Town Police at a traffic accident scene.

Officers responded to a noise complaint and cleared a group of students responsible for the noise from a common area.

Officers responded to a report of an altercation outside the building and dispersed the group.

An officer responded to a complaint about two people having an argument outside the building and asked them to leave.

8:24 a.m., Tyler House

Campus Police towed two cars that were obstructing the driveway.

3:44 p.m., Wilson Admission Center

Smoke from burning popcorn activated the fire alarm. Officers reset the system.

10:09 p.m., Crossett

An officer discovered two candles burning in a student's room. The officer confiscated the candles and fined the student $100.

Sept. 23,2006

1:02 p.m., Valentine

A student reported that parts of his bicycle, which he left in front of the building, were stolen. The stolen parts cost $75.

5:10 p.m., Stearns Hall

A student activated the fire alarm after he used his hair dryer too close to a detector.

8:23 p.m., Pond

An officer discovered and confiscated an unlicensed keg in the basement. The officer fined the student responsible for the keg $100.

8:40 p.m., Pratt Field

An officer responded to a report that people were drinking. The officer found and identified several underage students and disposed of the alcohol.

11:14 p.m., Valentine

Officers responded to a report that someone was breaking bottles on the patio, but didn't find those responsible.
