1:50 a.m., Coolidge Dormitory

An officer investigated fireworks being discharged from the building. A disconnected smoke detector was found in one room. The officer fined the resident $100 and confiscated some alcohol from the same room.

September 4, 2007

12:38 a.m., Hitchcock House

Officers responded to a noise complaint and found a group of loud students in the parking lot. Someone had thrown a refrigerator from the second floor. A resident volunteered to clean it up. The officers dispersed the group.

September 21, 2007

6:03 p.m., Whalen House

An officer investigated a report of a truck ripping wires from the house. The owner of the truck was contacted and a report was filed.

September 29, 2007

11:33 p.m., Tennis Court Area

Two women reported being followed by coyotes as they walked from the woods. Officers checked the area but could not locate the coyotes.

October 27, 2007

11:42 p.m., Hitchcock House

Officers responded to two noise complaints and issued warnings to people on the first and second floors who were watching a Red Sox game. They confiscated alcohol from two students. Officers also fined a student $100 for spitting from the second floor down to the first floor. They also found an unlicenced keg and fined a student $100.

November 4, 2007

9:14 p.m., Alumni Gymnasium

Officers responded to a report of a male acting suspiciously. The male was identified as a student who was using a cell phone in a remote area of the building.

November 6. 2007

6:50 a.m., Barrett Hall

Steam from a mop bucket activated a fire alarm. The system was reset.

November 7, 2007

3:18 p.m., Merrill Science Center

Officers responded to a report of a raccoon acting in an unusual manner outside the building. The animal could not be located.

November 11, 2007

3:42 a.m., Merrill Science Center

Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident. A pizza delivery person failed to properly secure his car and it rolled down the stairs to the front of the science building.

November 28, 2007

2:13 a.m., Hills Lot

An officer on patrol discovered a student’s car shrink-wrapped and wrapped in toilet paper. There was no apparent damage.

December 1, 2007

11:28 p.m., Barrett Hill Road

An officer on patrol observed approximately 50 streakers running up the hill. None had IDs with them, and they were sent on their way.

December 20, 2007

11:55 a.m., Physical Plant

A windshield on a car was smashed when snow fell from the roof of the building.

March 7, 2008

1:05 p.m., Tennis Courts

Officers investigated an unauthorized campsite in the woods south of the tennis courts. The person staying there left the property.

March 8, 2008

12:15 a.m., James Hall

Officers responded to a room smoke detector and discovered a second-floor resident had set fire to a ping pong ball. He was fined $100 and the matter was referred to the Dean’s office.

March 9, 2008

4:11 a.m., Morris Pratt Hall

A caller reported hearing someone screaming in the basement. Responding officers located two students who were reportedly venting and advised them to be quiet.

March 12, 2008

12:22 a.m., Robert Frost Library

Officers responded to a report of two students engaged in inappropriate behavior on level C. They were asked to leave the building.

March 23, 2008

1:49 a.m., Tyler House

An officer responded to a report of a bat inside a third floor room. It was removed.

March 24, 2008

8:04 p.m., Valentine Dining Hall

An employee reported that someone left the building with a decorative wagon wheel cart. The unknown perpetrator returned the cart.

Main Quad

Officers removed a disorderly man from the CBS Early Show broadcast of Muggle Quidditch.

April 14, 2008

1:09 a.m., Johnson Chapel

Officers responded to the tower intrusion alarm and apprehended eight students inside. They were identified and the matter was referred to the Dean’s office.

9:45 a.m., Pratt Field

An officer responded to a report of a fox that appeared to be ill. The fox left the area and could not be located.
