The staff of The Student extends its deepest sympathies to those members of the Amherst community whose friends, families and loved ones were affected by yesterday's terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C.

Now is a time to leave campus concerns aside and focus, at least for the moment, on the violence inflicted on our nation, our families and ourselves. The hour for argument and analysis will come in time. If you are among the unscathed, we ask that you consider donating blood or otherwise contributing to the relief effort.
