In these times it would be insensitive and perhaps irresponsible to speak to any issue besides the war on Iraq. Therefore, while readers are probably overwhelmed with the ubiquitous media coverage on this clash, it is such a central matter that we feel it is our obligation to address the conflict. However, at this time we choose to limit our comments and simply take note of this very serious and complicated world event.

We express sadness at any loss of life that has occurred and will occur during the course of this war. We hope that this conflict ends swiftly and in as peaceful a manner as possible. While any war is inherently violent, we hope for the most peaceful resolution possible. Finally, without explicitly advocating or challenging the war, we voice support for Coalition troops and their efforts to bring peace to a troubled region.
