Turn cell phones off in library

I have always looked to the library as a refuge from the noise pollution that characterizes college life. I love working alongside fellow students and sitting in the comfortable chairs and sofas. While this is my ideal environment, the reality of the situation does not live up to these standards. I am quite frustrated with having to tell my fellow students to take their cell phone conversations outside. I am astounded by the lack of common sense that these students exhibit. Trying to talk quietly does not cut it. The library is not a place to conduct a phone call. So please, help me out-exercise some common sense.

Thanks for honoring Gramps

The family of Robert "Gramps" Keyes would like to express their appreciation to Amherst College students for the memorial service which they organized in his honor. The service was very moving, the music was superb and the memories from the audience were priceless. A special thanks to all who participated.
