LETTER TO THE?EDITOR
Dear Student:
You conclude your December 6 editorial, "When It Comes to Grade Inflation...," with this sentence: "Hopefully, bright academic minds at Amherst and elsewhere will stop wasting time and thought on this perceived threat [of grade inflation], and focus more on teaching and learning." I agree with the sentence and the entire editorial and hope your fellow-students and my colleagues follow your advice. To start, we might focus as intensely as possible on how to improve the teaching of writing at Amherst.
