In the Feb. 27 issue of The Amherst Student, due to an accidental failure to notify the author of the article, “Multicultural Foot Dragging a Disgrace,” of changes made to his piece in the course of routine editing, we unintentionally printed views that the author, Michael Britt ’10, believes were not included in the original spirit of his article. These accidental misinterpretations especially affected the portion of the article dealing with civil disobedience. Britt does not explicitly favor protest against the administration’s Multicultural Center policy. We apologize for this oversight, both to Britt, who believes his stated views have been misrepresented, and to the campus community, for any confusion which might have been caused.

In the article, “Student Production of ‘The Illusion’ a Clever Play on Plays” in the Feb. 27 issue of The Amherst Student, the author failed to name Brendan Horton ’08 as set designer for the play being reviewed, which was Horton’s thesis project. We apologize to Horton and the rest of the campus community for this unfortunate mistake.
