Bub's Players of the Week

Players Of

The Week

By Peter Honig ’01 and Derrell Wright ’02
There were our Jeffs, in their purple and white, and Hamilton couldn't even put up a fight. When the dust settled, thirty to nil, that final score pretty much fit the bill. The defense was on, not one point against. Our Bub's men had the Continentals on the fence. Let's start with Derrell, that's him, 81. Growing up in Ohio was where he had his fun. He did all the normal things, played in the sun, but our question is, where did he learn to run? Then we move on to another football sort: quarterback Peter Honig, from the suburbs of New York. And now they're both here, and we can all breathe relief. And it looks like the Jeffs have turned over a new leaf. One touchdown pass, Honig to Wright, that's all the Jeffs needed to bid Hamilton goodnight. And then, another one, just for good measure. And then a third one gave all the Jeff fans pleasure. Good things come in threes, that's what they all say. We say, they're right, keep it up next Saturday! So head down to Bub's, because you guys deserve it. And don't worry about the seating, for you, we'll reserve it.
