When Cathy was a freshman, there was this senior on her team. Her name was Katie Hersey, and she shared in Cathy's dream. Hersey held the record, for single-season scores, until Cathy broke it Saturday, and opened the Jeff's NESCAC tourney doors. Eleven goals she's scored now, with the chance to score some more. And if we're sure of one thing, our Jeff offense isn't poor. And how did this goal happen? Was it in some dramatic way? Well, it was headed in, if knowing that small fact betters your day. Here's the situation, here's how it went down, and if the Jeffs keep playing this way, they'll soon have the NESCAC crown. Tied against the Cardinals, the game was wearing thin; it was sudden death, and a goal needed to go in. And then came our girl Cathy, with one goal on the day. Took the assist from Shipley, and made Wesleyan pay. Took the win back up north, and the Little Three title too; and in the NESCAC tournament, number four we drew.
