GAME OF THE WEEK
By By SPORTS STAFF
If there is ever a no-brainer for game of the week, this is it. Amherst versus Williams, the all important final game of the season, is this Saturday at Amherst. Can the Jeffs end their 13-game losing streak to the hated Ephs? With a 6-1 record entering the final game the Jeffs appear primed for a win. Running back Okey Ugwonali '02 has run all over defenses in the last few weeks, and has posted over 150 yards rushing in three games this year. Quarterback Peter Honig '01 has seen the Jeffs fall to the Ephs every year that he has been here, but this season he has completed 53.1 percent of his passes for 1021 yards and nine touchdowns. His favorite target has been Derrell Wright '02 who has six receiving touchdowns, including a 91-yarder, and 518 yards total receiving. If the Jeffs hope to finally snap our losing streak it will take another solid effort. The Ephs are 5-2 in what was supposed to be a rebuilding season. They lost quarterback Sean Keenan, who was given tryouts with several NFL teams, and this year they have had to use two quarterbacks and a rotation of running backs to get the job done. With the Ephs having a mediocre season, this may be the year that Amherst can finally end the streak.
