Harper, a freshman on the men's basketball team, has performed for the Jeffs as a sixth man all season. Against Connecticut College on Saturday, Harper came off the bench early in the game against a rough-playing Camel squad. For the Jeffs, Harper knocked down 21 points on eight-for-11 shooting on the day, setting both a career and game high. The 86-68 win over Conn. ended a two-game losing streak for the Jeffs, leaving their record at 15-5 overall and 4-3 in the NESCAC. Amherst took on Brandeis University last night in LeFrak Gymnasium.

Bowe, a senior co-captain on the women's ice hockey team, ended her career in Orr Rink on Sunday in high style. Against the University of Connecticut, Bowe scored a hat trick for the Jeffs, and also added two assists to her career total of 83. Bowe has also scored 76 goals in her four years as a Jeff, placing her just four points behind all-time leader Genny Furst '00, who scored 163 points in her career with 73 goals and 90 assists. The Jeffs will travel to Williamstown tonight to try to exact revenge against the Ephs, who handed the Jeffs a 9-0 loss in their last meeting.

Russell, a freshman guard on the women's basketball team, exploded against the Connecticut College Camels in New London on Saturday. After leading by only two points at halftime, Russell came out of the gate running in the second half to score 17 of the team total 20 points for the half. The Jeffs won the game 71-56 and moved into a tie for first place in the NESCAC with Colby College. The squad is also on the verge of matching the program record for highest single-season win total with 20. The Jeffs have won 12 of their last 13 matchups.
