Valdesolo, the sophomore standout for the men's squash team, has played competitively all season long. Valdesolo plays in the two spot for the Jeffs and has performed in many clutch situations against rivals, many of whom represent Ivy League schools. At the Little Three Championships at Williams College on Feb. 10, Valdesolo took the match against his Wesleyan University opponent in four frames. With the squash team losing J. Ashley Ebersole '01 and Captain Addison West '01 to graduation, Valdesolo should be the man the Jeffs look to for clutch wins in the 2001-2002 season.

In the slalom heats, Nelson combined to take a 27th-place finish, posting a time of 1:59.02. The next day, in the grand slalom event, Nelson pulled out a 26th-place finish, with a combined time of 2:18.94.
•Nick Rieser '01
Rieser, the veteran goalie for the men's ice hockey team, made his mark on the Williams College Ephs with style on Saturday at Orr Rink. Rieser stopped all 21 Williams shots on the day, leaving the score at 3-0 and handing the Jeffs their second win against the Ephs in two weeks, and only their second defeat of the Cows since 1996. The shutout was Rieser's third of the season. On the year, Rieser has racked up a 92.5 percent save percentage for the Jeffs and posted a 1.92 goals against average. The Jeffs will face Middlebury in this weekend's conference semifinals.
