Whitmarsh, the hard-hitting starting third baseman, had a spectacular week with strong contributions throughout. Against both Macalester College and Elmhurst College on Friday and Saturday, Whitmarsh produced three-hit performances against both teams in the baseball team's annual trip to Florida. During the break, Whitmarsh hit two homeruns, tied for the team lead with Jordan Krall '01, and led the team with a .486 batting average.

Peloquin, a pitcher for the softball team, went 5-0 for the Jeffs over break. Peloquin pitched four complete-game shoutouts, and only allowed one unearned run against Plymouth State. She also produced a six-hit performace against NESCAC rival Hamilton College. This dominating performance left Peloquin's ERA at 0.00. Peloquin also cracked the record books, surpassing Co-head coach Jen Shea '98 and taking the record for most career wins, with 41.

Pohorylo, a breastroker and IM'er on the men's swim team, had a very eventful NCAA Championships. In particular, he was responsible for Amherst's first victory, with his win in the 100y breaststroke with a time that was close to matching his college career best of 58.0 seconds. Pohorylo followed up his win in the 100y with a second in the 200y breaststroke with a time of 2:05.27. Showing his versatility, he also added a seventh place performace in the 200y IM to his extraordinary day.
