•Bowdoin College

The men's baseball team pulled off a three-game sweep of NESCAC rival Bates. In the second game of a doubleheader freshman Manny Lora nailed a three-run shot to lift the Polar Bears to a 13-10 win. In the first game, another freshman, Andy Workman, hit a game winning RBI single in the seventh inning.

•Middlebury College

Junior pitcher Tyler Conrad was named NESCAC player of the week after pitching a fantastic game against Hamilton College. Conrad tied a Middlebury record in the game with 16 strikeouts in the nine-inning one-hit shutout. The win was the first of three as Middlebury swept Hamilton.

•Williams College

The women's track and field team had a splendid day at the Williams Relays on Saturday. Williams athletes finished in the top three in 15 events. Senior Diane Williams set a new tournament record when she hurled the discus 142' 1". She also qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championships.

•Colby College

The women's softball team swept NESCAC rival Tinity College in a double-header with a 9-1 win in the first game and a 3-1 victory in the second game. The wins came despite the fact their last game was played in March. Three games were rained out, two were postponed and one was cancelled.
