•Pat Hayes '03

Hayes, a short distance hurdler on the men's track and field team, was Amherst's lone winner this weekend in the Little IIIs at Williams College, winning the 110m hurdles in a time of 15.46, his fastest time of the year. He came back to perform well in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 61.6, and the javelin, which he threw 134-04m. Hayes has consistently been one of the team's best athletes this season.

•Helen Dole '04

Dole, a heptathlon particpant on the women's track and field team, was all over the track this weekend at the Little IIIs held at Williams College. In preparation for her first heptathlon competition next weekend, Dole competed in seven individual events. She performed well in such events as the 100m hurdles, which she finished in 18.78, and the long jump, where she jumped 14-04.5. Her versatility will help the team this season.

•Mary Kate Allen '03

Allen, a midfielder on the women's lacrosse team, had an electrifying game against NESCAC rival Bowdoin College. She had three goals and a pair of assists in the game. Allen was especially influential in the first half, giving the Jeffs a two-goal lead going into the half. She scored a goal with 2:51 left to make the score 5-4 and another goal with 21 seconds left. The goals helped Amherst seal the 13-8 win.

•Chris Condlin '03

Condlin, an attacker on the men's lacrosse team, was an offensive powerhouse this week. Condlin had two goals against NESCAC rival Tufts University, including the first of the game in the 10-9 loss. Against NESCAC rival Bowdoin College, Condlin once again scored Amherst's first goal when he scooped up a loose ball off a faceoff. He also added an assist in the losing effort.
