•Bowdoin College

Bowdoin freshman field hockey player Marissa O'Neil has made a big impression in early play. O'Neil was named the NESCAC Player of the Week for her two goals in a 2-1 victory over Williams College and for her tally in a 3-0 win over Wesleyan. O'Neil now has four goals and an assist on the season.

•Trinity College

Freshman John Ziadie scored two goals in the Bantams 3-0 win over Conn College last Saturday. He was assisted by junior Co-captain Morgan Sandell on both goals, and Sandell also added a goal of his own late in the game. Trinity improved to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in league play with the win.

•Tufts University

After a crushing 4-1 loss to Babson college, the Tufts women's soccer team rebounded with a 3-1 win over Middlebury College, formerly ranked 13th in the nation. Junior Alle Sharlip, the NESCAC Player of the Week, scored twice in the second half to give the Jumbos the victory.

•Wesleyan University

Junior Matt Chiavaroli was named the NESCAC Player of the Week after he led the Cardinals to two victories, including a double-overtime thriller against Springfield College. Chiavaroli scored a goal and had an assist on the game winner in that match, and he added an assist in a 1-0 win over Colby College.

•Williams College

The Ephs tied for first place at the Duke Nelson Tournament last weekend but lost the title to Skidmore College in the tie-breaker. Sophomore Ned Wydysh led the Ephs with a two-day total of 148, which was good for fourth place in the individual tournament. Williams also placed three other golfers in the top 25.
