•Hamilton College

Freshman defensive back and kicker Peter Simon was named NESCAC Rookie of the Week for his performance in the Continentals' 21-0 loss to Wesleyan University last weekend. Simon intercepted two passes, had two tackles and recovered his own onside kick to start the game.

•Middlebury College

Missy Krempa was named Player of the Week after she led the Panthers' field hockey team to a 2-0 record last week. Krempa tallied five goals and an assist on the week, including a hat trick in a 3-2 win over conference opponent Wesleyan University. She added two goals and an assist against Union College.

•Tufts University

In their first two weeks of play the Jumbos have run all over their opponents in football. After tallying 315 rushing yards in an opening day win over Wesleyan University, the Jumbos followed it up with a 340 yards in a win over Bates College. The Jumbos were led by Kevin Kelley, who rushed 27 times for 156 yards.

•Wesleyan University

The women's volleyball team won their fourth consecutive Wesleyan Invitational last weekend, as they beat Trinity, Smith and Mount Holyoke Colleges. The Cardinals were 4-0 on the week. Setter Christine Fucci set the all-time record for assists over the weekend, tallying 3,475 in her career.

•Williams College

Williams senior tennis player Selma Kikic won the ITA New England Regional for the second consecutive year in singles, beating Stephanie Fong '02 in the final match. Kikic also teamed with teammate Stephanie Hall to win the doubles tournament, beating Fong and Heather Cole '02.
